Question about Sharp AL-1641CS Copier

We have a Sharp 1641CS copier will not feed or copy

Our 1641CS shows a paper misfeed. The paper is good and not jammed. One of the cartridges seems to be dropping black ink? inside the cartridge housing. Will not pick up paper to make copy and keeps loosing more ink? Help!

Well one reason the Cartirdge is spilling is due to the cartridge backing up with toner everytime it tries to print, it misfeeds cause the paper feed tires need to be replaced,

The dropping of the toner/developer can be due to either a full waste bottle located at the front of the toner cartridge or from a short on the main charge corona. If a lot has dropped then the feed tires can get dirty from this toner spilling. You can check the toner cartridge issue but the corona should be checked by a technician.

Epson cx3200 printer has printing problem

You can diagnose most problems by checking the control panel LED's for ink out, paper-out or copier problem.
If a problem occurs while you're printing, you'll see an error message in the progress window on your computer.
It may also be helpful to try running a printer nozzle check.

My HP LaserJet 1320 is showing an Orange Light ( Exclamation mark inside the Triangle) and i could not make any printing... It's keep showing that problem after restart the Printer. Can anyone give me some...


if the light is blinking it means
1. either the cartridge door is open
2. or paper tray is empty
3 or paper is misfeed
4. or paper jam


Verify that the print
cartridge is present and
that the print-cartridge
door is closed correctly.
2. Verify that media is
present in the input tray.
3. Clear any jams and
perform paper-path
functional checks.
4. Make sure that the
interlocks are operating
correctly.

Message says; Paper jam. There is no paper in it. Tried turning off and back on, resetting. Nothing, same message. Any ideas? Thanks, Niki


Hi,
Open the back door and look in the middle of the back cover, there's a black plastic sensor lever that must move up and down freely as the paper passes. That lever gets sticky and needs to be cleaned with alcohol so it can move freely again. You may need to remove the back cover with 2 phillips screws to gain access.

Misfeeds paper pulls to the right--says paper jam-no jam


there could be a paper jam or some paper still inside.

  1. Turn off the printer.
  2. Remove any paper trays. Inspect them for wrinkled or damaged paper.
  3. Also open the back cover of the printer if this model has one.
  4. Open any other doors that give access to the printer's paper path and to the toner or ink cartridge.
  5. If necessary, remove the toner or ink cartridge. Place it away from light/ sun light to avoid damaging it.
  6. If you find a piece of jammed paper, remove it by holding it with both hands and pulling firmly. The goal is to keep the paper from tearing. If several pieces are jammed together, try pulling out the middle piece first to loosen the jam.
  7. If the paper does tear, try rotating the roller gears manually to free the paper. Don't force anything, though. Do this step especially if the jam message comes up repeatedly without any obvious paper jam, there may be a small tear of paper inside.
  8. Ones the printer is free of paper Replace the toner or ink cartridge and paper trays, close any doors you opened and turn the printer back on.
  9. If the printer paper jam message still appears, then there is still some paper in the printer. Reinspect the paper path.
  10. see alternative if the problem is still not solved.



alternative :
Load a piece of thick paper, for example photo paper and press the resume button (may be diffrent button on diffrent models) a few times to the printer picks up the paper and puts it through the machine.

Mysterious paper jam or misfeed


You can take it to BestBuy for service, as they are an authorized service provider for HP, but you can expect to pay for a repair.

-Remove rear access door and thoroughly inspect for ANY tiny pieces of paper. The smallest ones can be a HUGE problem.

-Remove ink cartridges and printheads. Close doors. Disconnect power. Wait 30 seconds. Reconnect power WHILE holding #,6 on the keypad. This will perform a thorough reset of the unit.

A costly potential fix is new ink cartridges. Even though cartridges print fine, they CAN cause something like this but unfortunately it is more likely a waste of money than a fix.

If you are unable to find your receipts and the above did not work for you, the only other thing you can really do is call technical support and escalate the case. Insist to speak to a supervisor, then a supervisor's supervisor.

Sharp AL-1641CS printer/copier


Most likely you had a toner cartridge failuer leaving some of the ink and developer in the crevices above the paper feeder and its just trickling onto the paper.
It pretty much needs to have the cartrides taken out and thouroghly vaccumed.
Just takes patience and time to get it all removed.
Dont vacuum the cartridges, but the inside of the machine.
Pull your paper tray out and see if there is toner and developer trickling into it.
