Question about Washing Machines
I have a Maytag washer that is at least 9 years old and the water intake valve? keeps pumping water into the machine even though I have pushed the knob control in and also I have turned it to the off position with the same results- it keeps pumping water in and overflowing. Thanks
Does the water continue to run when the washer is unplugged from power? If it does, then there is something stuck in the inlet valve that is keeping it open. Could be the result of mineral deposits. If the water stops when unplugged then the water limit switch is defective. Unlikely since the water still flows when control knob is in off position.
