Question about Keurig Ultra In Home Single Cup Brewer with 54 KCups

1 Answer

Unit will not brew when pod is inserted; works w/o pod however.

LED shows that unit is brewing, however, when pod is inserted, unit merely drips coffee into cup; when pod is removed, unit flows freely. My Keurig with the K-cup in place begins to brew - only drips into the cup, stops brewing, if I remove the K-cup it completes it run of hot water (about 1/2 the amount). I can use the reusable filter just fine, but put a K-cup into the machine and problems. I notice that there are coffee grounds all over the top of the k-cup when it does this funky brewing - is it back flowing? I can run a cup of hot water, use the reusable filter - but no k-cups - any one have a suggestion?

This may be one of two issues:
1. The pump is malfunctioning which can cause the internal reservior to not completely fill which causes issues during brewing. My unit dribbled random amounts of water instead of brewing for about a week before the pump died completely.
2. The puncture seal isn't in the right position. Open the Keurig fully so you can see the sharp puncture pin. Very Carefully push the black rubber gasket around it all the way up. Then pull it back down about 1/16". Brew a cup, if the problem continues, try sliding the gasket further down by increments of 1/32".

Error message: 'brewunit is blocked' and i cannot get the brewunit out of the machine to look at it. it is stuck pretty hard. dont want to break it...any suggestions?

Hi
Your showing a Syncrony but this is for a Syncrony Compact. They are different.
Open the door. Remove the drip tray, dredge drawer. On the left side and towards the back of the brew group, there is a single screw in the brew group. If you can't get the dredge drawer out, just move it as far to the left as you can to get to the screw. Remove the screw. Grab the handle, squeeze and pull carefully, but firmly fast. Everything will come out (drip tray, dredge drawer, brew group and there might be water in the drip tray). The brew group should come out. There is a piece that remains in the machine. Slide the piece down and to the right and it will come off. Insert the piece into the hole on the backside of the brew group with the clip up. Tighten the screw and move brew group back into position.
To return the brew group to the centered position, you first need to drop the funnel. To do this, look on the opposite side of the brew group from the handle. At the top you will see an object that looks like a sharks fin. If you follow this piece down you will see 2 horizontal bars on the brew group body. Push your finger between these 2 bars and the funnel will drop. Now you can push the puck slide on the left side down and then to the center of the brew group. If you look down through the funnel you should see a piston. This should be centered in the funnel. If not just push the slide to the right until it does. Push the press button and you are now ready to reinsert the brew group into the machine. First you must insert the dredge drawer back into the machine. Close the door and turn on the machine without having the brew group in. You will hear the motor turn on and when it stops completely, pull out the dredge drawer, drip tray, then open the door and insert the brew group. Slide the drip tray, dredge drawer back in, close the door and test.

Hi
You must make sure that the brew unit is ready to reinsert into the machine. To return the brew group to the centered position, you first need to drop the funnel. Now you can push the puck slide on the left side down and to the center. If you look down through the funnel you should see a piston. This should be centered in the funnel. If not, locate the slide on the left side of the brew unit, (it should be hanging down, a flat rectangular piece attached to the cylinder) and push the slide to the right until it does. Push the press button and you are now ready to reinsert the brew group in to the machine. First you must close the door with the drip tray and dredge drawer inserted and turn on the machine without having the brew group in. You will hear the motor turn on and when it stops completely, open the door and remove the tray, and dredge drawer, now replace the tray and insert the brew group. If it still won't go in check the cog in the back of the machine. There are 2 wide teeth that should be at the 10:00 and 12:00 position. If they are at a different position you have a broken drive gear.

I have a three month old Miele CVA 4066. I have recently cleaned the unit twice (using little tablets in coffee grinder), as well as descled. The coffee, expresso, etc. is barely dripping out of the unit. ...

your brew unit is clogged. It will need to be removed and cleaned every 24 hours as per the owners manual. There is a yellow laminated card in the box with the accessories that shows step by step how to perform the 24 hour maintenance. To prolong the life of the brew unit, make sure the coffee grind size lever is in the middle or to the right of center, rather than the left (fine) side. Also, you only want to use dry beans, preferably espresso beans. Oily beans like french roast will clog that brew unit up very quickly.

Hi
Check behind the drip tray for coffee grounds. Make sure that your drip tray is locked in. If its not fully locked it, this could be your problem. If everything is removed but the brew unit, grab the handle without pushing the press button, and pull. If the brew unit comes out, it wasn't locked in. Put the drip tray in. Set the brew unit on the drip tray. Now slide the brew unit towards the machine with a little force and see if that locked it in?

Check that pod has a punctured hole on BOTH ends.. If the bottom or to wear not punctured this will happen with most Keurigs.
Replace the pod holder if defective.

The brew unit is stuck and impossible to remove now, and something on the left seems to have moved out of place and prevents the container that holds spent coffee to slide in correctly.

Open the door. On the left side and towards the back of the brew group, there is a single small Phillips screw. Remove the screw. Squeeze the handle and pull carefully, but firmly with a quick snap. The brew group should come out with the dredge drawer and drip tray. There is a piece that remains in the machine. Slide the piece down and to the right and it will come off. Insert the piece into the hole on the backside of the brew group with the clip up. Tighten the screw and move brew group back into position. If your brew group did not come out please call your service center.
To return the brew group to the centered position, you first need to drop the funnel. To do this, look on the opposite side of the brew group from the handle. At the top you will see an object that looks like a sharks fin. If you follow this piece down you will see 2 horizontal plastic bars on the brew group body. Push your finger between these 2 bars and the funnel will drop. Now you can push the puck slide on the left side down and to the center. If you look down through the funnel you should see a piston. This should be centered in the funnel. If not just push the slide to the right until it does. Squeeze the lever like you are removing the brew unit until it clicks and you are now ready to reinsert the brew group in to the machine. First you must insert the drip tray and dredge drawer, then close the door and turn on the machine without having the brew group in. You will hear the motor turn on and when it stops completely, open the door and insert the brew group. Done

Brew unit wont go back in in seaco incanto

There is a flag on the back side of the brew unit. Below the flag are 2 plastic bars that the flag slides in. Push in between the 2 bars and see if the flag will drop. If it does holding the brew unit with your right hand, take your left hand and place it on the bottom left side of the brew unit, then with 2 fingers reach up inside the bottom and grab the bar in the center and squeeze the bar to the left. This will bring the cylinder back into position and align the 2 triangles on the front of the brew unit. Once they are aligned push the lever to the right to lock up the brew unit. Leave the brew unit out, but everything else in place, then turn the machine on. Once
the machine is settled open the door, remove the drip tray and then insert the brew unit, drip tray and close the door.
