You have installed a new sound card however you won't be able to use the monitor speakers unless there is a seperate cable that you can plug into the headphone jack. Or you can get some speakers and plug them into the headphone jack.

Ok if that's the case then you need to plug it into the sound card that you bought. If you have done that already then your CPU board went out and it affected your sound drivers. So plug the speaker jack into your new sound card jack in the back of the desktop.

Sadly if there isn't one chances are that there never will be. I've had similar problems myself with Creative.
Have you tried using a windows xp one or vista one instead? Preferrably Vista. Probably won't work but you got nothing to lose.

Chaintech motherboard

Hi, check the cable from your computer tto monitor, then check that the video card is installed properly.
If these fail your video card is most likely dead and need to be replaced.

Motherboard Problem

Were all these working fine together before or did you just replace something? Did you try connecting the monitor to another PC? Try the pc on another monitor which works. try unplugging the video card and plugging it back in. try without the memory, it should post and beep looking for the memory. try without the harddrive.
