Question about Samsung CLP 300 Laser Printer

CLP 300 toner cartridges invalid toner

My toner cartridges (new with the new printer) do not have any chips in the spaces provided on each cartridge. How does the printer know the status of the toner and how do I tell the printer that the toner is now full again without the chip? I don't want to have to buy the chip when it obviously didn't need them in the beginning. I refilled the toner myself and it works fine otherwise but keeps telling me the toner is low. I also don't want the printer stopping because it thinks the toner is completely empty. TIA for any help. Kim hi there I recently purchased a clx 2160 which uses the exact same toner, imaging unit as a clp 300, i purchased some refills and chips. after placing the chips i get invalid toner on the black and cyan. Looking at toner identifiaction i can see that these two cartridges have been messed up; Toner Cartridge - Identification Black Toner - Vendor ID : CK300INI Black Toner - Serial Number : CRUM-00000000000 Cyan Toner - Vendor ID : CC300INI Cyan Toner - Serial Number : CRUM-00000000000 As you can see the serial numbers have all turned to zero.(I know this is not normal as the other two are fine) Is ther a way to reset these back to normal or some how edit them Thanks

AFTER RELOADING TONER INTO CARTRIDGES, THEN RED LIGHT BLINKING AND IT WILL NOT PRINT. WHAT CAN I DO TO FIX THE PROBLEM?

Did you change the chips in the cartridges after you filled them with toner? Inside the cartridges are chips that the printer keep track of the number of images that are printed. After so many pages, the printer marks the cartridge as empty, even if you fill it with toner. When the cartridge is changed the printer reads the serial number on the cartridge and keeps a log it its memory. If the chip is replaced, then the printer does not recognize it and thinks it is a new cartridge.

Hope this helps.

Instead of changing black toner printer (samsung clp-510)is giving error INVALID TONER BLACK

This can happen if you install a CLP-500 cartridge OR a Xerox Phaser 6100 cartridge.

Physically they are the same, but the 'chip' is different.

In the case of the Xerox, it is the programing of the chip that 'tells' the printer its a Xerox cartridge, and the printer won't accept this as valid.

If it's a CLP-500, the three contacts on the side of the cartridge have a resistor (for the capacity of the cartridge) and a falmeproof fusible resistor which resets tha page counter (for that cartridge) when a new cartridge is installed.

Samsung CLP-315 eats toner. Cartridges last almost

ean_inkrefills on ebay. Search on the terms "samsung clp 315 toner refill solution". Chip installs on the printer motherboard--installation is not overly difficult, but still not for the faint-hearted. I expect it voids the printer warranty. Ean gives good email support.

Refill clp-315

No need to drill holes. If you turn the cartridge with the drum facing away from you, on the left hand side, you should see a small block elliptical cover with a couple of divider on it. That is the cover for filling the cartridge. The problem is there is no available reset chip yet for clp-315.

CLP 300 toner cartridges don't have a chip

New Models of Samsung Laser printers come pre-packed with Cartridges that have no chips but an empty space where the chip should be. These chipless cartridges do not need to have a chip because the printer is pre-programmed to run for one cycle. These pre-packed cartridges can also be refilled in the same way but will need a reset chip.
Buy new chips from:
