Question about Itox 6 Full ISA Slot GITOX3 (CPGITOX3) Motherboard
I have a gitox3 Rev.A w/ 128MB Ram
Overclocking is the term used when one speedsup the CPU. But the CPU is an unforgiving device and it works at usually 3.3 volts. Increasing the voltage by 0.1 volts can cause the chip to speed up, but it will generate so much heat that you will lose your CPU. You will need to buy new cooling and it is not worth to do this with an old computer. There is, however, a way that you can make the computer think that things are running much faster, by adding more RAM. Usually there are three sockets for RAM. Have you loaded them all with 128 MB? Check and find out in the manual or go to the manufacturer and find out what is the maximum RAM you computer will read and then load your computer with the highest possible RAM. Your computer will appear like it has an accelerator added. Enjoy it until you can buy a faster computer, check with us again for overclocking. Let me know what decisions you made. This is how I am graded...
