Problem for Hampton Bay Cessna 04313 Ceiling Fan
I can't remove the glass globe.
I have removed the globe in the past by turning it slightly counter
clockwise and it dropped down. Now when I turn it the entire housing turns and I can't dislodge it. Any Suggestions?

Are ther not 3 or 4 screws in the edge of the housing which screw into the rim of the globe?

If there is a way you can hold with one hand the part that is turning, and turn the globe with the other hand, try that.
If you can't do that or it doesn't work, I would suggest spraying the threads on the globe with spray cooking oil (like Pam). Let it soak for a while, when turning counterclockwise shake it slightly -- it should come out.
