Question about Kodak EasyShare Printer Dock Series 3

Color halos around people in my pictures.

My printer dock series 3 is printing, but the colors are not printing on the same spaces, so I have shadows of colors like halos around the people in my photos. What can I do?

How do we get the old toner cart out in order to replace it?


Check that the Paper light is not lit (from a paper error). Clear this error first by removing any paper jams, refilling the paper tray or other needed step followed by pressing the Print button.

To remove the color cartridge, open the cartridge door on the side of the unit. Push up on the green level and slide the cartridge out.

Take the new cartridge, make sure that the ribbon has no slack in it. If there is slack, push in on the cartridge spool and rotate it clockwise. (Do not turn this more than you absolutely must to take up the slack. It could reduce your number of prints.) With the label up and the arrow facing the printer dock, push the new cartridge until it clicks into place. Then press the Print button to clear the error and resume printing.

Printer isn't working correctly


To resolve this condition:
  1. Remove the power cable from the printer.
  2. Remove the paper tray from the printer.
  3. Remove the paper from the paper tray.
  4. Verify that the paper you're using has KODAK XTRALIFE Paper or a "G" inside a circle (for G600 series printer docks) on the back. Do not use 4- by 6-inch inkjet paper.
  5. Insert the paper tray into the printer.
  6. Open the color cartridge door, then remove the color cartridge.
  7. If the color cartridge ribbon is torn or damaged, replace it with a new cartridge.
  8. Install the color cartridge, and verify that it is fully engaged.
  9. Close the color cartridge door.
  10. Connect the power cable to the printer.
  11. Wait for the printer to initialize (the paper may eject automatically).
The printer's lights turn on. And after a few seconds, most or all of the printer's lights turn off. The printer will make noises while cycling. If a paper is stuck in the printer, while the printer is making the noises, pull gently on the paper to try and remove it.

Here are the steps:

10. Make a print.

throw out your printer and buy another brand. if you call18002356325 the call goes to manila and chances are you will be talking to some one who only speaks partial english and knows nothing about kodak products but will read to you from these internet instuctions that you just read !!! kodak has become a very anti-american company in so many ways!!!

PRINTING IS SMEARY AND NOISY


If there is a clicking noise as the printer is printing then most likely the fuser film has torn. The fuser film is part of the fuser unit. This item is best replaced by a technician.

Have you found pieces of film like material around the printer paper exit? It is most likely a dark grey color.

Colour problems when printing with dj 130


I had similar problems when I first installed the printer and after different tests we found out that the Magenta ink print head was faulty. Changed head to a new one and problem solved. You will need to recalibrate and do paper set up's again.

IF CARTRIDGE IS WRAPPED AROUND TAKE TO SERVICE PROVIDER(I TRIED TO FIX IT LIKE THAT AND IT WAS A HASSEL)

unplug power cord. Then hold down the transfer key and the left arrow button at same time and plug power cord back in.
