Question about Hotpoint Aquarius WD63 Front Load Washer/Dryer
My Aquarius wdl520 washer/dryer leaks water through the saop dispenser draw. It fills ok but when trying to empty it wont, when the washer trys to spin the water comes up and out through the draw and onto the floor, i have checked the waste pipe and drain and all is ok iv even stood out side watching as it trys to empty and it is a slow trickle to the drain outside. Plus it wont dry either the clothes seem dryer after a spin. My normal wash consists of let the water come in wash then wait till its due to spin turn off and empty and fast spin over and over this is done by consistantly switching from buttons C and B. The manual says it has a self cleaning pump but not where it is for me to check. Please help i only bought this machine 6 months ago and im really starting to regret it.

Hi, I think the problem you have is with the cold water inlet valve? When your machine dries it uses a small amount of water at high pressure through a restricter fitted in the water inlet valve. These break down letting in to much water which cannot evaporate quick enough for it to pump out causing the washing to become wetter than after the wash/spin cycle. The only way of solving this is to replace th tree way water inlet valve. But make sure that the pump is working ok first and that there is nothing in the sump hose trap which is located underneath the washing machine out the bottom of the tub.

There should be a small door at the front bottom of the machine, open it and unscrew the plunger. try that first as there could be a blockage.
The machine will not spin until the water is drained out.
