Wont start up

Remove the battery and AC Adapter cord, and press and hold the power button for 30 seconds. Then, without replacing the battery try plugging in your AC Adapter to see if you get any love. If that doesn't work, remove the AC adapter, reset the board again, and this time hold the power button down as you plug in the AC Adapter cord. If you still don't get any lights, you could try removing your memory, reset the board, replace the memory, plug in the AC Adapter, and try one more time.

Battery not connected properly. Check that the battery connector (rear panel) is fully engaged.
Press the on/test button once to power the UPS and the connected equipment.
Make sure UPS has nothing connected to it. Check the Fuses for the battery inside in the back of the UPS
Unplug UPS and batteries. Push the on button to clear the logic. It may or may not flash the LED's Once the fuses are checked, check the logic boards for any burn or discoloration.

Dear Friend, Reboot the PC --> press "F8"F8"F8"F8"F8"........ continuously. It will start the p.c. in safe mode
Click on the windows button on the monitor Click on Run Type cmd in the blank space type --> netsh winsock reset and press enter

Screen remains blank at start-up

This seems weird but it DID work for me!

It saved my EEEPC 900HA from the same problem.

Here's what I did:

-Remove ac adaptor
-Remove battery
-Hold Power buttton for 32 seconds (yes I know its weird..)
-Remove bottom cover on laptop to reveal memory.
-Remove memory CAREFULLY (move metal tab either side that is a bit springy to release & place memory on table without rubbing or touching it apart from edges)
-Look at circuit board where memory was installed.
-search for two very small copper arrows right next to each other (they look like elevator some up & down arrows)
-Use a small screwdriver to "short" the arrows (touch both arrows at the same time - for at least 5 seconds)
-Re-install memory
-Replace botom panel & battery
-attach ac adaptor
-power on

If you see the gray screen - it worked.
As far as i can tell this process resets the bios so make sure to enter the setup and check your time and date.

Good Luck. :)

The bios update failed on my 4g asus eeepc

What you need to do is to get the manual for the motherboard os you can reset the BIOS. On the other hand, you may not be able to preform that. This model is like a netbook and try this, remove the battery and the power cord. give it 15min. put the battery back in and reboot the system and than the power cord. that should help. if not, than a tech person is your next step.

No power

Unplug All External Devices Unplug the AC Adapter From the Wall Outlet. Disconnect the AC Adapter From the Laptop Reseated the power cable to the adapter.
Remove the Battery Connect the AC Adapter Directly to a Known Good Outlet, But Not to the Computer Verify That the AC Power Adapter Has a Solid Green or Blue Light.
The AC adapter status light is solid green. The AC adapter status light is solid green.Press the Power Button and Check for POST. Post means if you see the dell logo, remove the battery, plug the ac if still it wont turn on or doesnt have any light,Reseat the Memory if after reseatting the memory still the same problem it might be a bad motherboard.
