Lost e-mails
I moved a laptop between countries, tried to set up e-mail using Mozilla for the first time, e-mails successfully downloaded, then next time I looked at them, they were gone. Changed back to outlook express, and since then the same thing has happened twice, not all disappearing but about 95%, including e-mail addresses in address book. Computer seemed to have rebooted on its own before it happened the last time.
is it a virus please?
where can I find the e-mails?

Have you tried a virus scan yet?
Avira Personal Edition is a good free one.
If all else fails back up everything important. Then do an O/S re-install with a full format. Just remember if you do download ALL your Laptops Drivers from the makers website BEFORE you format.
