I also had a breadmaker where the paddle didn't want to come out. (I acquired it that way.) After trying to take it apart, using a pliers (wrapped a cloth around the paddle), squirting WD-40, and a few other things, I finally had my male friend try getting it loose. He finally did, using the pliers with a cloth around the paddle. After that incident, I oil all of my paddles (cooking oil or butter). I buy and sell bread makers so I've had dozens but only one with that problem. Usually, soaking does the trick. Hope this helps.
