Bad prints Print copies have picked up faded text not related to the print job.

There are two way email e-print.
A> Open email and select print area and see preview, if preview ok then you given print. If not ok then go to printer setting option and set printer paper or text. Then see print preview if ok then given print.

B> Second option is copy email print job any doc file or then print select and command given. But print before also check it print preview.

Follow these steps to change print settings, and then print in Mac OS X 10.6. Step one: Select your product

1. In the program from which you want to print, click File , and then click Print . Figure 11: Click File, and then click Print
2. Select your product from the Printer: drop-down list.

Step two: Change print settings

1. Type the number of copies to print in the Copies text box.
2. If you want to print multiple copies, select the Collated check box to print the pages of each copy in order.
3. Select the pages of the print job that you want to print. To print all pages, select All. To print a specific range of pages only, type the page number that begins the page range in the From text box. Then, type the page number that ends the page range in the To text box.
4. Select the size and type of paper loaded in the product from the Paper Size drop-down list.
5. Select the orientation for your print job. To print in portrait orientation, click the icon on the left. To print in landscape orientation, click the icon on the right.

Step three: Change the paper type and quality settings

1. After the Orientation section, click the drop-down, and then select Paper Type/Quality . NOTE: This drop-down usually defaults to the program specific drop-down. In this example, the drop-down is the TextEdit drop-down. Figure 12: Select Paper Type/Quality
2. Adjust the Paper Type setting to match the paper loaded in the product.
3. Adjust the Quality setting to change the print quality of the printed page.
4. Select Print Borderless to print photos without a white border.
5. To change the color profile or to turn on Photo Fix, click the arrow next to Color Options to display the Color Options menu. Figure 13: Color Options menu 1 - Paper Type/Quality menu options 2 - Color Options menu (only available if you click Color Options)

Step five: Print the print job After all the settings match the needs of the print job, click Print on the Print window to print the document or print job.

Try printing as an "image" under advanced settings

In one of these diagnostic areas you will find an auto gradation adjustment, perform that. Here are the steps.
To enter the CE mode:

1. Press and hold the 0 key for 5 seconds, then while still holding down the 0 key, press the Start button.
   The CE Access Number screen will appear.
   
2. Enter 6789 and press Confirm.
   
3. The top most area of the UI display will be reversed to let the user know that the mode has changed to the CE mode
   

1. Enter the Diagnostic mode.
   
2. From the Common Settings screen, select Image Quality Adjustment.
   
3. Select Calibration.
   
4. Select the button of the Screen Type to be calibrated, that is, Copy Job - Text, Copy Job - Photo, Print Job - Text, or Print Job - Photo.
   
5. Press the Target button and then select the type of jobs to be calibrated, that is, Copy & Print Jobs, Copy Jobs Only, or Print Jobs Only.
   
6. WC 72XX only: Load A4 paper in the Tray 5 (Bypass). Press Save.
   WC73XX only: Select a paper size and type using the paper supply button
   
7. Press Start. The auto gradation routine will run and a message will display upon completion.
   
8. Take the print from the output tray. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the color correction.
   

When you print photos you print in Max dpi, for this no faded lines anywhere. Probably you have a problem only in black color in print head.
Мay be it's partially clogged or partially defective.

Clean the printhead, then print a demo sheet.

1. Verify that inkjet paper is loaded in the paper trays.
2. On your desktop, start the KODAK All-in-One Home Center, then select the Help [?] icon.
3. From the Help menu, select Maintenance, then select Printhead Cleaning. The On/Off light flashes green during the cleaning procedure.
4. When the On/Off light glows a steady green, press Photo and Copy simultaneously to print a demo sheet.

If the Demo print is bad- IE: no black, blurry print etc., then you may need to replace the printhead:

The print heads don't appreciate being out of ink so the Brother printer has sensors to prevent that but the tape defeated that prevention. Maybe more cleanings or maybe a cartridge with printhead cleaning solution will help. Otherwise, I fear a new printer.

Make sure store to e-file is not picked on the print job page on the printer properties. Also make sure the paper size of what your trying to print is available in the machine( eg print job is A5 paper etc)
