If a cartridge is low on ink, discontinue these steps, replace the cartridge, and then try printing again.
If the cartridges contain a sufficient amount of ink, continue to the next step.
Follow the on-screen instructions.
After installing a new HP Inkjet print cartridge, the ink level indicator remains at the previous level.
to print and ignore the ink level indicator. The print cartridge is
full of ink, it just is not being measured accurately.

Try to reset color ink level ,see how in the following link http://atta-metro.blogspot.com/2010/03/reset-ink-level-printer-hp.html after you complete , reset make sure your file free form colors , other wise print will ask you for change color , hope this help you
well printers calculate ink, with printing jobs. If you exchange cartriges in the middle of these ( ex:you exchange cartriges about after 100 print jobs and the cartriges is 500 top) the printer dont know excatly the ink level, so gives these error on calculation, not exact ink level. so you need to take out and place again to reset cartridge counter.
Try to check the level of your ink in your color catridge maybe is running low or empty then if its empty then remove the catridge then replace another color catridge full of ink then run your printer again. If you successfully installed new ink catridge then it will automatically reset the level of your ink monitor to full.
when you refill the cardtridge, you can not reset the ink level... because refilling doesn't show the ink levels.. you no need to worry. if ink is there in the carttridge it will print...
Shouldn't worry about it. They are only a rough guide. The only time to worry about it is when the printer stops working and it has told you it's run out of ink!
Inkjet printers do not detect ink levels period.
An estimate of level is made by the software. It calculates the volume of ink that was dispensed during printing pixel by pixel.
If you re-install the software the tally is lost.
If you want to convince the software that the cartridges are full then go though the procedure of renewing the cartriges but put the old ones back in.
If I were you, I'd completely ignore the displayed levels of ink, its worthless technocrap.
Your eyes are the best judge of whether the cartridges need replacing or not when you look at your prints.
