Hello there,
Unfortunately, something may be shorting out at the hinges causing the DS to shut down automatically. It is probably a ribbon cable damage. Try contacting Nintendo to try to get it fixed.
I hope this helps! Thumbs up are always welcome.

Tomtom one automatically shuts down after a certain amount of time when connected to computer. i am using a mac and trying to install maps. but keeps shutting off in the middle. but always shuts off...

I am not sure about the mac side but do not do it via a hub do it direct to a USB 2,0 compliant port.

And only use the vable that came with it not just one that fits.
not all cables are equal
Should be i know but its not always the case

If the mac has any power saving options esp for individual bits of hardware (lots of hardware have their own power saving functions) then turn them off windows allows pc users this option.

Pc restarts automatically and unexpectedly

Good Evening Sunnyseber :

Hope that you are wellJ
You did not indicate the type of Operating System.
This document pertains to HP and Compaq computers with Windows Vista. If Windows Vista suddenly starts without warning, or restarts when you try to shut it down, it may be because your operating system is set to automatically restart when certain system errors occur. This feature of the Windows Vista operating system can be disabled. Use the information below to disable the Automatically Restart option. NOTE: In addition to the steps in this article, updating video card drivers is known to resolve many of the problems that can cause the computer to restart. Step 1: Disabling Automatically restart option to view error messages You can prevent the computer from restarting by turning off the Automatically Restart option:
  1. Click Start c00971562.gif .
  2. Right-click Computer , and click Properties
  3. Click Advanced system settings .
  4. Click the Advanced tab and select Settings in the Startup and Recovery section.
  5. Remove the check mark next to Automatically restart under System Failure .
  6. Click OK to close the Startup and Recovery window and click OK , again, and then close the System Properties window.
  7. Restart the computer. NOTE: The computer will no longer restart automatically when a problem occurs. Instead a blue screen appears with more useful information. You can now search for a resolution using the text from the error.

If I can be of further assistance, please let me know.

And, remember, always include the type of Operating System and the type of computer you own, when you submit your questions. It simply makes for much faster solutions.

Have a wonderful evening.

Computer needs to configure updates when turned on and turned off

If you are looking how to turn on and off automatic updates you it this way: Go to Start>Contriol Panel>Security Center. Then just click on > turn on automatic updates or turn off automatic updates. If this solves your problem please rate this as fixed. If this was not what you needed, don't rate it yet just add a comment and I'll be happy to assist you further. Remember though, if this fixed your problem, please rate as fixed. So many people don't bother. Thanks. Need more help just give a shout.

HP NX9010 automatically shutdown

Definitely a software problem, somewhere along the installation process, the data on the CD is being read wrong. Try a different installation disk, and see if this fixes the problem. If not, then it could be that there is either a problem with the CD drive, or the IDE controller for the Hard Drive.

Trutech digital audio player SMP 1 GBL

I had this same problem. If I tried to turn the player on, it just gave me the "format the player" screen. If I turned it off (by removing the battery if necessary) and plugged it into a USB port, it could still be read as a flash drive. I could copy the files to a backup folder on my computer and then (using Windows) I could right-click on the drive and choose Format. When it was finished, I disconnected it from the computer and turned the player back on and it was able to boot normally (it took a little while, but it worked). After rebooting, it automatically recreated the MUSIC.LIB, MUSIC.SEC, SETTINGS.DAT system files and the VOICE directory. I plugged it back into the USB port and copied the music back onto it and it worked fine. So... back up the data and format the player...
