Close the manual. Open Windows Explorer and navigate to the CD. Explore the CD looking for a driver folder or a setup.exe command and double click the command which hopefully will set up the printer driver. If there is a driver folder, check to see what kind of files are there. If they are *.dll or *.sys files then you have to use Windows control panel to install them. Let me know what you find.

10 Tips for Troubleshooting Your Printer
http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0%2c2817%2c2412253%2c00.asp

My Printer Won't Print
If the printer doesn't respond when you try to print a document, make sure it's turned on and that a cable hasn't come loose. For both USB- and network-connected computers, the printer driver must be installed on the computer you're printing from. Occasionally the driver may become corrupted and have to be re-installed.
You can either do this from the disc supplied with the printer or by downloading the driver from the manufacturer's Web site. Printer makers generally have a page for which you can download available software for different models and operating systems. (You may also have to update the driver so that it's compatible with a new operating system, as many consumers buying Windows 8 computers have discovered.
Not sure if your computer already has a driver installed for the printer you want to use? With Windows, it's easy to check. Just open the printer folder from the Start menu or Control Panel. Depending on the version of Windows, it's either called Printers, or Printers and Devices. It will show a list of available printers, with offline printers grayed out. If your desired printer is offline, make sure it's properly connected to your PC or network. The default printer has a green check next to it. You can set another printer as default by right-clicking on it and following the prompts.
Right-clicking on a printer and clicking on Printing Preferences will reveal the driver settings. By tweaking them, you can adjust a number of functions, including but not limited to paper size and type, default paper tray, print quality, and duplex printing (if available). The printer software installation disc almost always includes a convenient interface to access printing functions, but it's faster to work straight from the driver.
Most new printers include a quick-start sheet, and many include a user manual. You should keep the installation disk and user manual in a convenient place. A growing number of printers include a user manual as a PDF file on the installation disk, or make it available from their Web site. It's always a good idea to download it to your PC.
HAVE A NICE DAY.

I have lost my user manual for my lexmark 2450 printer, can you help me

Do you still have the Cd that came with the Printer when you bought it? If so, a pdf format user manual is included on the Cd. To read the manual from the cd, insert the Cd into the Cd-rom drive, it'll autoplay, now click "?" on the autoplay menu, then read the user's manual. (if the cd isn't autoplay, open "My Computer" double click the "2400 series" icon, and click "?")

You also have another alternative, if you've already installed the printer's softwares and drivers, click "Start" > "All Programs" > "Lexmark 2400 series.." > "User's guide", open it and you can read the manual. This is the simplest and easiest option.

Good luck.

Installing my printer

You need to install the printer driver in your computer. You can use the installation cd that came with your printer. The software will also show you how to setup the printer itself. If you don't have the installation cd, there are drivers available for download in the Lexmark website. Just click on this link: http://bit.ly/bLIMIo . Choose the operating system of your computer by clicking on the Microsoft, Macintosh, or Linux/Unix dropdowns found at the bottom of the page. Download the correct driver compatible with your computer's operating system. Install the software. Hope this helps. If you need more assistance, place a comment so I can get back to it. Thanks.

I just bought an NX410 printer and when I put in the software nothing happens. I'm actually not sure what side goes up so I tried it both ways. The printer is on and the ink and paper have been istalled....

Hi

This is a link to the user manual in case you don't have one:
http://www.retrevo.com/d/ds/progress?doc=c4c3912f335de1b784ae93fe8a87dbcb

After I reread your question a couple of times I think what you're saying is the CD is not auto starting in your machine. If this is not the case then open up that user manual and reread please. If this is the case then on your computer go to START, My Computer. Put the Epson CD in your CD/DVD drive. Now on the my computer screen you should see the CD/DVD drive respond with the name of the CD. Click on this icon. This will show you the files on the CD. Click on one that says either Install or Setup. Now your software should begin loading. Good luck

Downloaded drver for my printer. the add new printer wizard can't

Hi ...

If you have the driver CD that you recieved with your printer, follow the below steps to install the saftware:

  1. Turn on your computer.

  2. On your computer quit any open applications, including virus checkers.

  3. Insert the MultiPASS MP730/700 Setup CD-ROM into your CD drive. The [MP Setup] splash screen will appear automatically.

    1. If MP Setup does not start automatically, on the Windows desktop, double-click My Computer (on Windows XP, click Start then click My Computer).

    2. Double-click the CD-ROM icon. If MP Setup does not start, double-click 'Setup.exe' (on Windows XP, 'Setup').

  4. In the MP Setup splash screen, click 'Install MP Drivers'.

Note: For Windows 2000 users, if Service Pack 1 or later is not installed, MP Setup will display a message and installation will be aborted.

  5. Follow the on-screen instructions, clicking the appropriate button to move from one screen to the next.

  6. MP Setup will install some system files and may prompt you to restart your computer. If you are not prompted to restart, click 'Finish' in the MP Drivers Setup window and then proceed to step 7.

    1. If you are prompted, make sure radio button 'Yes, I want to restart my computer now.' is selected in the MP Drivers Setup window and then click 'Finish'. DO NOT remove the CD-ROM at this stage. MP Setup splash screen will open after Windows has restarted.

    2. If you had to restart your computer and the MP Setup screen is not displayed or you closed it, on the Windows desktop, double-click My Computer (on Windows XP, click Start then click My Computer).

    3. Double-click the CD-ROM icon. If MP Setup does not start, double-click 'Setup.exe' (on Windows XP, 'Setup').

  7. In the MP Setup splash screen, click 'Install MP Toolbox.'

  8. Follow the on-screen instructions, clicking the appropriate button to move from one screen to the next.

  9. At the MP Toolbox Setup dialog box, click 'Finish'.

  10. Confirm the MultiPASS is turned on.

  11. Connect the USB cable to the MP730 and computer USB ports. Windows will detect the printer and proceed to install the driver files.

  12. Your MultiPASS includes additional software applications that you can install now or at a later date. To install the software, click 'Install Utility Software' and then proceed through each installation.
You can also download the drivers by visiting the below link and selecting your operating system.

Cant instal the printer to mi computer

Setting up or installing a printer in Microsoft Windows. Issue:Setting up or installing a printer in Microsoft Windows.
Solution:There are two different methods a user can install a printer in Microsoft Windows. Below is additional information about each of these methods listed in the order we believe a user should try installing their printer in Microsoft Windows.
Before being able to install your printer you must have the software that was included with the printer. If you've lost the software for your printer you can download the drivers for your printer and use the drivers to install your printer. A listing of printer manufacturers and links to their associated drivers pages can be found on our printer drivers page.
Setup a printer using printer software
Every printer should come with the software used to install a printer in Windows. Although not all installations are the same the steps for installing this software should be similar to the below steps.
  1. Connect the printer to the computer and a power outlet and make sure it's on.
  2. Insert the CD that was included with the printer. If the CD does not automatically start the install program open My Computer, double-click on the CD drive, and then the Setup or Install file.
  3. Follow the installation wizard and your printer and its associated software should be installed successfully.
Installing a printer only using the drivers
In addition to the above steps a users can install a printer in Windows only using the printer drivers. This is recommended if you only want the printer to be installed but not the additional printer software programs that are often included with the installation and/or you've download drivers.
A listing of printer drivers and software downloads can be found through our printer drivers page.
Note: if you've installed the printer doing the above steps these steps should not be necessary unless you encountered errors.
  1. Connect the printer to the computer and a power outlet and make sure it's on.
  2. Click Start, Settings, and Control Panel.
  3. In the control panel double-click the Printers or Printers and Fax icon.
  4. In the Printers window click the Add a printer icon.
  5. After completing the above steps the Windows Printer Wizard will appear. Click Next, to start the wizard.
  6. Windows will prompt you if you're installing a Local or Network printer. If the printer is connected to your computer choose Local printer attached to this computer and click Next.
  7. When prompted for the location of the drivers for the printer. Browse the computer to the directory of your drivers or point it to the CD that was included with your printer.
Testing the printer
After the printer has been installed in Windows you can use Windows to print a self-test page to make sure the printer is working by following the below steps.
Microsoft Windows 98, 2000, ME, XP, 2003, and Vista users
  1. Click Start, Settings, and open Control Panel.
  2. Double-click the Printers or Printers and Fax icon.
  3. Right-click on the Printer you wish to test and click Properties. If you do not see your printer listed your printer is not installed. Seedocument CH000939 for additional information about installing a printer in Windows.
  4. In the Printers Properties window click the Print Test Page button.
  5. If the printer is able to print a test page, you're printer is installed and setup properly. However, if you're unable to print in other programs it's possible that the program you're attempting to print from has issues.

No Printer Installe d- HP PSC 1610 All-in-One

My guess is that either the crash or Best Buy's work on the computer deleted the printer software and drivers from the computer. It's as if you never installed the printer on the computer in the first place.

It's probably time to dig out the manual and CD-ROM that came with the printer and do a complete installation. If you don't have the manual or the CD-ROM to do the job, you can get both from HP.com

Printer software and drivers

It makes a difference what operating system you have on your computer, so the page that opens when you click the link I posted above will require that you click on the name of your operating system. Once you do, the specific installation software and drivers will be available for download.

Manuals

The link above will let you download your printer's user manual in PDF format. It'll probably automatically open in Adobe Reader when you select the document's link.

That's about the best suggestion I can make under the circumstances. Please post back the results here and good luck.
