Aux feature

After looking your unit's info up, I found it doesn't have a built-in aux input. This was an option (not surprising seeing as it's an old Walmart version of a nicer head unit by jvc). IF the previous owner chose to add the optional aux input, there will be a black wire coming from the back of the unit that's way thicker than the rest. Follow it and it should lead you to where the previous owner mounted the aux input Jack. If there is no wire, you're pretty much screwed, because the model has been discontinued and it'll be just about impossible to find the appropriate accessory. The good news in all of that is, for the price you'd pay for the aux input alone, you can find a decent NEW head unit WITH an aux jack for the same price or darn close. Best of luck!

Hey guys, I've just installed a CD changer in my car - having some difficulties getting it to work. After some Googling I came across this forum so I figured I'd see if any of you guys know where I'm...

there should be a small connector on the changer itself for the power ground and remote wire for power to the changer unit. the cord coming from the unit to the changer doesn't supply this power and this is why it wont eject and also your head unit wont recognize it until it gets powered up and able to communicate with the head unit and then it will show up as a selectable source when switching between sources of music. check the back of the changer for a small connector containing 3 or 4 pins and you should have a connector with the corresponding wires coming from it to plug into this spot after connecting the wires properly. if you bought it on ebay it is possible you didn't get this piece which is critical when connecting this changer.

CD changer output not working

There is an obscure setting for 'AUX' on/off that is hard to find unless you know what you're doing or looked in the manual. Typical Pioneer for ya.

Jensen cd 2610 aux input has little volume

first of all the rca jacks in the back of your radio are for plugging in an amp, not your mp3 player. there should be an auxiliary jack(looks like a headphones jack) in the front of the head unit. if there is no auxiliary jack in the front then you will have to go buy a new head unit with an auxiliary jack.

Aux Jack

first off you need to make sure that the factiry head unit has a aux drive or if the aftermarket has one as well if it does just set head unit to aux plug it in and play music if it doesnt you will need a new head unit that has aux input. if your car has one it could be on the radio face or the back could be very difficult to pull the radio refer to your manual on how to do that

I have a CDE-9872 and it wont pick up my ipod touch

Add Alpine's optional "Full Speed" connection cable and you'll be able to use the CDE-9872 to control your iPod. -Crutchfields website

This is compatible with first and second generation iPods touch.
fyi- if you have a mini-stereo aux in jack on the deck you can connect a ipod touch compatible mini stereo cable to the earphone jack of your ipod.
