have you tried printing on a different TYPE of paper? I have found if you use the same paper as your printer you get much better results. Also sounds like you are low on Magenta. the double writing sounds like you need to clean the rollers with a Qtip and a small amount if alcohol. good luck

It does this based on the paper type you set in the printer properties, see the table below for the different types of paper it will accept & the setting you need to use.

On the machines control panel set to sheet fed (pressing the left button will change from Sheet, roll and roll with cut). In the print settings select your paper profile. On the page setup choose sheet. In the pull down menu you should only have basic paper sizes, no custom size. choose 20x30 and try again.
hello, probably the printer takes his own color-profiles installed by epson. Click on propriaties of the printer and create your own color-profile for diferent sizes. you can take the color-profile from a smaler size and save it choosing an other size. So You also can improove your pictures by changing the color-profile after your needs... but then you should use the same paper , because different papers give different colors. you can also improove the colors by choosing-on the profile-another type of paper.
HP recommends papers with ratings of at least 90 for brightness and 75 g/m2 (20 pound) weight.
