Question about Frigidaire 24 in. FDB1050REC Stainless Steel Built-in Dishwasher

1 Answer

Non-functional I purchased the dishwasher to replace a very old one. I plumbed and wired it exactly according to the installation instructions. When I started the machine to test it all i get is a blinking "wash cycle" light. There is no water moving, no pump noie, nothing. I pulled it back out and double checked everything and it is all in order. Any suggestions?

I have a Whirlpool ADP9000ix diswasher that will not power the front display/touch panel. Therefore cannot turn the dishwasher on. I have checked the circuit control panel. And power is getting to it....

If your Whirlpools over there are like the older ones here in the U.S., you may find that there is a thermal fuse mounted just above the circuit board. If there is one, turn off the power to the unit, pull off the 2 wires connected to it and check it for continuity with a multimeter. If that fuse is blown, nothing works as it controls all power to the unit. Replacement fuse kits (at least here in the U.S.) are readily available on ebay for a fraction of the price that an appliance parts store would want. By looking on ebay for "Whirlpool dishwasher fuse" you can see what the fuse assembly looks like, and if identical to yours, purchase one. If you do buy one, follow the installation instructions exactly by using the supplied wires on the new fuse and the screw terminal block to make the connections. If you don't use the new wiring and connection block and simply plug the new fuse to the old connectors, it will simply blow again in a short time.

I ordered replacement part for my Kenmore dish washer- the soap dispenser. elite model 665 (15983990). I waited 3 months. The part that arived W10616003 does not have the same wire connections as the old...

If you can take the part to an appliance parts supplier, they might be able to cross-reference it to what they show as a non-Sears replacement and provide information on how to install and connect it.

Hi this did not work. The pots and pans the normal and the power scour are still flashing all the time??? Is there something else I can do.

Ok the lights flash all continually because the control board is defective (as opposed to another component) the part number for the control board is 8564546 it could be purchased from your local appliance parts store or online at;

To replace the control board, open the door and remove the T10 torx headed screws and seperate the inner/outer door, remove the cover from control board ,remove old board with the wires attached...install new board and install wires on new board the plugs are keyed and will only fit on the correct terminals, a tip is to remove on and install it on new board so you doing only 1 plug at a time and its easy to tell where it goes since its the exact same place it just off of old board.

I need details on how to install Maytag built in dishwasher

Hello Ted, Without the exact model number, it is difficult to provide the correct installation instructions for your specific Maytag dishwasher.

I can provide you with a link to the Maytag site where you can enter in your model number and download an owners manual and installation instructions/guide that will provide you with the step-by-step needed to properly install your dishwasher.

The installation instructions will provide the proper wiring, water supply inlet plumbing and connection of the water discharge line, as well as all of the dimensions needed for clearances for the countertop and cabinets.

If you're trying to install an older dishwasher, you can also give them a call at 1-800-344-1274 and have your complete model number available, so they can provide you the correct manuals and instructions.

I hope you find this Very Helpful and best regards!

Particle residue on glasses in top basket for glasses at the corners

The oldest dishwasher I have replaced was a Kithcenaid installed in 1953. It was a 24" built in with a smaller door, a handle looked like it was for a safe, and it had an s-trap underneath. The 90 year old customer said it did the same thing. My advice is to run a dishwasher cleaner through a hot cycle according to manufacturers directions. Check the holes in the spray arms carefully for any debris. Our service guys advise not to use gel or liquid type soap as it leaves a tiny residue after each load which will eventually clog your internal plumbing. Always use the least amount of soap you can get away with and POWDER is prefered.

Water does not turn on. It is ok in sink runs out.

You have 1 of 2 problems on this 35 year old DW...
1. The water solenoid is out.....need replacing.
2. The timer is going bad (has gone bad)...needs replacing....what happens over the years...with timers is that the teeth wear out , break,, wear down, and will not engage specific functions of the dishwasher as in activating the water solenoid. The odds are these parts will be cheap...but having been in the industry for 35 years...I have found that often when you install a new part in an old unit places a load on all the old parts...that they are not used to...and other parts start to will probably be better off buying a new one....hopefully (and probably) the last you will ever need since you only use it once a week.

I hope this helped thanks ...the Fang.

Bosch SHU43C installed in 2003

My Bosch SHU43C had the same exact problem. I found the below solution on this site. Perhaps you already seen it.

My SHU43C is just over 3 years old. I had a similar problem recently. First, there were a few floods. Then, the Bosch only drained non-stop. Even when I used the Cancel Drain buttons the drain pump would run without stopping. When I tried to run one of the cleaning cycles, no water entered the machine. Corrective: I removed the base plate, and saw that the red plastic floatation device was in the up position. Using a flashlight and a wooden spoon, I lightly toggled the red float stem down. I pushed regular clean cycle and kept toggling with the red float stem until the rinse water started to enter the machine (turning the red stem seems to also actuate a step in the program). Now the dishwasher runs normally. Voila!

Trying to replace broken upper rack adjustment arm . . .

first off check to see if there is an endcap either the front or back of the track. if so remove the cap. check for end mount screws. if no screws the endcap opens up the route for popping the plastic cover off and exposing the screws.. see diagram(may not be exact model but it gives you an idea)
