This is known as a Torx style screwdriver. Most appliances use either a size T-2 or T-3. I hope this helps you.

Remove 1014vsr bosch chuck

The greatest one that fit most chucks are 13mm but remember to remove the torxscrew (in clockwise direction) inside the chuck first and if you use a new chuck beware of to use some loctite on the screw.
The long side in a vice the short in the chuck and turn the left anticlockwise direction the L direction and pull short but fast the trigger and move the drill in the same direction turning the drill has priority to make doing this in a very short time. to not overcharge you tool.

I cannot get the screws off of my bottom panel on maytag washer

Try raising the front feet of the washer for better access. These screws are usually angled downward slightly which makes getting a nut driver, or screwdriver on them difficult. You can raise the front by placing a 2x4 under the front feet, or something similar. The screws are usually a torx (star) size T-2, or 7mm. If you need further assistance, please let me know.

PS If the screws simply will not turn, due to corrosion. You may have to spray them with a good penetrating oil to free them. (WD40 and PB Blaster are two common brands used).

How do you open the door(of a kenmore front loading washing machine) after a load of laundry is done and the door stays locked?

HI. i have posted a procedure that will help you unlock this door ,and it will ,also, lead you to a secret tech sheet hidden inside the lower panel. This sheet will help you in the future with unpublished trouble codes and solutions as well. First, you must unplug the machine.

Next, remove the lower front kick panel. You will need a star-head driver (six points), which you can get at your Sears store. It requires a fairly small unit. I used an interchangeable handle with swappable parts to match the right size head.

The three star-head screws are located along the bottom of the kick panel. If the washer is sitting on the optional pedestal, be sure to pull the drawer out before proceeding. Then unscrew each of the screws and place in a plastic bag to avoid losing them.

The front panel is now attached by pressure to the rest of the washer. Take a crowbar or any slim tool to pry open the panle. Cover the end with a thin paper towel to avoid scratching the paint on the washer, insert the thin end low in the gap between the washer and the panel, and gently twist until the side pops off. Do both sides.

Once the panel has been removed, look to the right on the side of the inner wall of the washer. There you will find the lost manual pages intended to help the tech interpret error code and fix conditions. It also contains instructions on how to (((UNLOCK THE DOOR))). Take the manual pages out from behind the plastic envelope (they are taped and sealed, be careful not to tear them) and put them with the rest of the user manual, where they belong.

You can now see the inside of the washer. Look up in the inside where the latch for the door closes. You will see a small plastic black box. Pull the bottom end straight down. Then, open the door.

My Whirlpool Duet locked the door when i tried to start a load of clothes, how do i unlock it?

HI. try unplugging the unit, ro shutting down the appropriate circuit breaker for five minutes. this will reset the CCU, and possibly unlock the door. If this fails, the door lock mechanism may be defective. Follow the manual unlocking procedure below if this is the case.

Manual unlock procedure.

Where can you get a screwdriver for the star screws? (HomeDepot?) Thanks

Yes. These are now common drivers. All hardware stores, home depot, lowes have them. They do come in sizes so you may want to get a set or take a very good look at the screws you need to work on so you get the correct size.

I need the size of the screw for the inside door of Bosch SHU43C0

M4x11 is the size. but you dont need the exact screw really. if your worried about the door making a seal when you close it. it seals before it hits those screws. use stainless steel screws only so it doesnt rust. (non-magnetic)

Using a bosch psr18 power drill

Hi, they usually list the torque to screw size ratio in the instruaction manual. If you cant locate yours many companies list their instruction manuals pn the web on their home page, or you can sneek a peak at a hard ware store on a similar drill.
The usually rule for small screws is torque 1-4 on small screws.
Otherwise practice makes perfect & different types of timber will affect when the torque kicks in.
I still believe that an impact driver is better than a drill with screws as it impacts the screw in & this gives you better control. It will actually slow the screw down & you can recess it just perfectly. The drawback is that it can snap small screws when driving into soft timber. (but you can always predrill)
cheers

HE3T washer screw at base front side

This is known as a Torx fastener.
They come in many sizes like allen screws.

There are even security fasteners with a pin in the centre.

Most mechanics centres and online tool suppliers stock them.
Snall sizes can also be supplied as hexagon bits for replacable-tip screwdrivers. Larger sizes available in 1/4" & 3/8" socket drive.

Look for the word Torx.

If this helps you locate them, please rate as Fixya!
Thanks.
