Training (enter) Work Outs (enter) Interval (enter) Time/Rest Time (enter) Enter 00:10:00 for time Enter 00:01:00 for rest time Make sure you have enough Reps set for your run. If in doubt set it very high (40) Scroll down and select done. You will have to scroll to this same page every time you want to use the 10's and 1's. Just cycle through the page with out changing anything and select done, you're ready to go!

4 men approach a rickety bridge at night. They are of varying ages, and as such take different amounts of time to cross the bridge. Since they just have 1 lantern, and only two men can cross at one time...

perhaps the man that can cross longer minute is old.. so u have to carry that person.. so then cross by two's each one of them carry a person that walk slow..and you cant leave one or two behind co'z there's only one lantern

Hi. It is supposed to be a wake up alarm function in my Forerunner 305, but I can't find it (I really used that function in my old Polar). Where can I find the settings? Best /Fredrik

The only alert that comes close to being a wake up alarm is the Time alert function. Press Mode and then select Training. Select Training Options > Alerts > Time/Dist Alerts. In the Time Alert field, set the alert to Repeat (instead of Once or Off). Enter the time that you want the alert to sound in the Alert At field. Then press Mode repeatedly to exit the menu.

The manual for the 305 is available here http://static.garmincdn.com/pumac/984_OwnersManual.pdf . The time/distance alert picture is given on page 9. Links to additional documentation are available here https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?pID=349&ra=true .

I hope this helps.

Garmin goes from Auto Pause/Resume constantly when moving.

Depends on speed. If you are running low speed (less than 3MPH) precision of GPS combined with low speed makes device crazy.

For walking, running, or country biking in hot climbing, set auto stop off.

I have an Nike Alpha project watch that's around 10 years old but don't know where the manual is. The watch has the following modes: TIME, CRON, DATA, TIMR, CNTR, ALRM I'm trying to find out if I can set...

Not too difficult. Press BL (bottom left) to go to TIMR. Then TR to confirm. Then TL and hold until it "confirms". Then in "Seg 1" press BR to move to minutes. Press TR to adjust to 10 Press TF to accept Press BR to move to Seg 2 Press TL and hold until it confirms. Press BR to move to minutes. Press TR to change to 1 Press TF to confirm. You can set up more segments like this.

Garmin Forerunner 305 miscalculating ascent and calories

Firstly, the ascent and descent are only approximate, and can be very approximate! This is because it's using GPS to calculate your height above sea level when GPS is really only accurate for position Lat and Long. When calculating height, a very, very small error can lead to a large variation in actual height. You should never use a GPS for height if needed for navigation (ie climbing walking etc) If you need accuaracy you will need to get a barometric altimeter.v

As for calories, I think you have identified your problem, it's calculating calories on running not cycling. Not sure what the answer is as I don't know what software you are using but if you are using Garmin TC, bin it and use SportTracks. Takes a bit of getting used to but to really get the best out of your 305 this is excellent software and it's free. Any anomolies like your calorie issue/wrong category import can be changed manually plus a whole host of other stuff. Garmin doesn't even let you edit activities - crazy.

Can't change date on garmin forerunner 305

My 305 takes a while to locate satelites sometimes too, otherdays it is only a minute or so. Try not to be standing near the sides of any buildings / houses (out in the open) and also stand still if you are wearing it while it is locating the sattelites. Better still, I like to put it on the ground or on a table (outside) when I turn it on so the receiver is facing directly up to the sky when it is first turning on (while you are stretching or something), then put it on when it is ready to go.

Have you tried in the settings to change your location, then it will get you to confirm the date?
