SOURCE: Downloading video's to computer with the dcr-trv8 handycam

You should be able to hook up through usb or firewire. If your computer has a firewire port on it you can but a firewire cable that works with your camera and then use windows movie maker to capture the video footage. You can then burn it to a dvd.

SOURCE: DCR-HC96 Automatic Lens Cover won't open

Take the battery out and turn selection switch to camera and then turn it off. Put the battery back in and its working again.
if that doesn't work try
Try smacking the side of the camera relatively hard with the palm of your hand. Eject the tape and reinsert. You may need to do this a couple of times.

I suspect an issue with the CCD and the associated image processing circuitry. Please consult a Sony Service Center to have the camcorder serviced. Thanks!

I have a Nikon D-40 I'm currently using a 55-200

Fisheye is the extreme of a wide angle lens. I think you are not using a fish eye lens, but a fish eye adopter. That is a lens that will "shorten" the focal length of a lens most of the time with 30 % sometimes with 50% when you put it in front of your lens. So you could make a 24 mm lens look or act like a 12 mm.
On your tele lens this only will slightly shorten the 55 mm, but even 50 % of 55 is 27 mm and can't be seen as a fish eye.
I think when you put this on a short lens, the picture you get will be round, like you were using a real fish eye.

It would appear that the moisture seal around the lens, itself, has deteriorated and moisture laden air has entered the lens. It likely will get progressively worse since the lens is exposed regularly to dramatic changes in atmospheric pressure and temperature which causes expansion and contraction of the lens and surrounding materials. I would suggest that you find a competent lens repair shop or ship it back to the manufacturer for refurbishing.

It is possible that you might do a "quick-fix" by placing a tiny bead of silicone around the edge of the lens where it makes contact with the housing. This actually may not help because moisture laden air is already inside the lens and unless you have some way of drying it out, that air is the cause of the moisture ring and eventually full fogging of the lens.

Professional lens repair is likely the only real option you have.

Most likely your fisheye lens attachment is out of alignment. An internal element may have come unscrewed or unglued. The other option (I'm assuming you have already checked this) is that it is incorrectly attached to the camera - check your threads and make sure it wasn't cross threaded and that there are no blockages to the lens attachment being screwed in completely. If the fisheye lens is not in the correct position relative to the CoolPix lens, then the pictures will be blurry.

Can you use a fisheye lens on the Nikon Coolpix P80

I do not think any company makes an Fisheye lens attachment for Nikon P80. This is a fixed lens camera.
If it is being manufactured by any 3rd party then Nikon then you can only attach it to the front of the P80's lens.
Caution. Nikon P80 is a super zoom and lens barrel is made up of plastic that is too light weight. Do not attach heavy peace of metal on the lens. it can only carry the filters.

I just purchased the Zeikos fisheye lense for my 50mm Nikkor lens and when I attach it, it doesn' take fisheye photos - just regular with some distortion around the edges... am I using this incorrectly?...

The 50 mm lens is a full frame lens, and the D80 is a DX camera. This means that the 50mm lens puts an image out that is bigger than what the D80 can "see". The good part of this is that the D80 (and most of the other Nikon DSLR's) use only the image from the center part of an older lens. The bad part is that if you put the fisheye filter on it, the fisheye effect that is mostly seen at the edges of the lens doesn't show up on the D80 sensor. If you could put the fisheye filter on a DX lens, it would give you the full effect.

Like to fit my bronica fisheye p e into nikon f 5 camera

The lens you're refering to is the Fisheye-Zenzanon-PE 30mm, yes? As far as I'm aware no Bronica ETR > Nikon F adaptor has ever been made, and if one was to be it would be rather cumbersome.
You're probably better off selling it and using a Nikon Fisheye-Nikkor 16mm 1:2.8 in its place.
