I went to device manager, there is yellow mark next to USB tranfer cable. I decided to click on reinstall drivers and this is the message i receive. "Cannot install this driver" "HID Non-User input Data Filter" Fatal error during installation.

This is all through the New Hardware Wizard

Where did the software install on the computer? It should be somewhere probably in the program files folder. Let me know and we can try to manually install the driver.

If its installed properly then it would show up in the device manager, look in there and make sure that its in there and it doesn't have any exclamation points or question marks on it.

Install the software that came with your transfer cable onto the windows xp computer and then hook up the cable.

It might be the Network adapter causing problem, please check in device manger if the drivers are not showing yellow mark or red.

If any, then install the drivers from Dell Drivers & Downloads

Please use the LAN Cable for transferring data from PC TO PC. It is cheap and very suitable to all type of PCs irrespectve of OS installed on them.
