Slow coffee stream and smaller brew size with B70

Keurig B70 11 months old. Cleaned B70 in accordance with manual (white vinegar) end of October and it worked fine - Thanksgiving week lots of use - really slowed down and brewed small cups (1/2 to 2/3 of size selected). Cleaned again (per manual except I used whole gallon of vinegar) and it seemed to work better flushing water through. But still too slow and small with K-Cup (Timothy's). We always fill unit with water from refridgerator (has filter/charcoal cartridge etc for ice maker) and we do not have especially hard water. I do not hear or see an air pressure blow out at end of cycle (although that was evident when flushing water at the end of a cleaning proceedure). Does this sound like a scaling problem, or could it be a weak pump?? I am have the same problem. Says Descale about every other week and I do it. Then when I go to make a cup of coffee not enough water comes out for that cup size I select and it will not let me change the cup size. I have contacted Keurig about this any they never responded. Nice. This is my 2nd brewer and they both only lasted about a year. I have done everything they say to do. but still not working properly.

I had the same problem, contacted Keurig and they suggested the descale procedure, which did nothing. The brew size was very small, the display would not let me select the size, and water was being pushed back into the reservoir. I was able to resolve the problem however.
First I went through a gallon of white vinegar, without results. Then I did the following:
Went to Walmart and bought "Brew Rite". Tried 8 cup mixture (8 cups of water, two tablespoons of mix), did not work. Being persistant, put in another 8 cups, and when the reservoir was empty of the solution let sit 2 hours while unplugged and then put in clear water. By the time I got half way through with the clear water, the device started working properly, no problems since. This may work for you...

What about it not letting you select different cup sizes? I am having all the same problems plus it keeps going back to the larges cup size and then will not let me switch to another size unless I unplug and restart. I just finished putting a gallon of vinegar through it and am hopeful the performance will improve, but I am thin king the cup size problem is a failure in the circuit board:(

MY KEURIG B70 IS CONTINUALLY PROMPTING TO "PRIME"

Hi, Lauren..
You can download another manual here.

Cleaning any coffee brewer is essentially the same. The easiest way is to brew one or more pots of white vinegar... it'll stink up your kitchen, but it's effective at removing build-ups and mineral deposits. Be sure to follow up these "vinegar brews" with several "plain water brews" to remove all the vinegar!

Also, if your water reservoir isn't clean (open the lid & do a finger swipe), you can use a brush to clean it or - what I do - wad up a paper towel or two, attach it to the end of a long-handled wooden spoon, and use that to get down deep into the reservoir & scrub it as much as you can before the vinegar treatment.

Alternatively, you can spend $3 or $4 for packaged cleaning compounds at stores like Williams & Sonoma.

Good luck!

After many uses, the cups are starting to get much smaller. when you brew a normal size cup, it comes out at about half the size of what it was previously

Sorry to read about your issue.

The brewer should be de-scaled at least every 3-6 months. Scale is harmless, but if left unattended, it can hinder optimal brewer performance. De-scaling your brewer regularly helps maintain the heating element, removable water reservoir and other parts of the brewer that come in contact with water. Better water quality and water heating means a better cup of coffee, tea, hot cocoa or iced beverage. We recommend de-scaling your brewer at least every 6 months (every 3 months if your water has a high mineral content). The de-scaling process involves using 48 ounces of undiluted white vinegar.

Take 48 oz of white vinegar. place in tank. pretend you are making coffee (Do No Use K Cup). let the water fill you mug. then empty that mug. Do it again until tank is empty. then let sit for 4 hours.
Then fill with fresh water to the top. let that tank of water run thru. towards the end taste the water.
If you taste vinegar..use more clean water, until the taste is ok.

I tried to help you. Please help me and Vote/Rate this response. Thanks and good luck

My Platinum Keurig says it is ready to brew but nothing happens. I have cleaned out any coffee grounds.

My B70 has worked good for about 6 months. Lately it won't brew a full cup of coffee or water for that matter. I have run Limeaway, and also vinegar throught it but nothing works. It seems to me the pump is too weak to make coffee before an apparent time-out occurs.

Slow coffee stream and smaller brew size with B70

I had the same problem. In my case the needle that pierces the cup was clogged. All you need to do is unfold a paperclip (small and not plastic coated) and push it down through that needle to clear the blockage.

My unit works better then ever!
