i have a mitsubishi vs-6026r 72in. i pushed the power button and the tv would click on then off.so i opened it up and listened for the clicking noise. it seemed to come from the center of the tv where the bulbs are placed. i'm guessing it may be a bad bulb. but theres no burning smell and the tubes seem fine. help!

I have a 60" Mitsubishi big screen T.V. and when I turn it on it only makes a clicking noise and shuts back off. Can I fix this problem and could it be the capacitor?

    Thank You

You need to change the convergence IC's my friend. If you know how to solder and work on printed circuit boards, this is an easy repair, BUT if you have no experience, play it safe and let a pro do this repair for you. Good Luck

SOURCE: VS-60601 Mitsubishi Problem...

That model is famous for the CRts leaking onto the chassis which causes all kinds of problems and can cause the main circuit board to short as well as destroy the solder. Try looking at the board for evidence of a pastey substance that would indicate CRT coolant leakage. Let me know what you find.

SOURCE: 1998 Mitsubishi vs-60601 picture is dull and not as vibrant as it should be

the first thing I would do is to clean the lenses of the CRTs they may be coated with dust that will dim the picture. other than that the CRTs may be failing since the phospher of CRTs fade in brightness over time and the only solution is to replace all three CRTs. the CRTs I have discovered are no longer availible.

That model will usually leak coolant directly onto the vertical output area and that will put the tubes into protective blanking and you will have sound but no picture.

Push Power button, green light goes on for a few seconds then nothing....

I would suggest taking a look at the power module if that can be replaced. The Fuse blowing may have only been the beginning of the problem. Any recent issues with under or over voltage in your home?
