Question about Heating & Cooling
The unit will not start. Has power, outdoor motor checks out o.k. The indoor unit fan runs, but the lights on the indoor unit are flashing indicating a communication problem. I believe the fuse is blown inside the indoor unit or so the electrician says. Should we replace the indoor unit or just a circuit board ?
How old is it? Can you justify spending lots of money on an older system? Sounds like a transformer issue. Sometimes if the low voltage wiring gets shorted outside via dog or weed eater it will short the transformer. But if transformer is on control. Controls are cheap at supply houses maybe not from technicians
