Question about Mitsubishi WS-55809 55" Rear Projection Television

1 Answer

Mitsubishi WS55809 won't start up.

My WS-55809 was not in use for a few months. It now will not turn on. When turned on manualy or by remote, the green timer light illuminates but the familar clicking sound ( relay, selonoid,??) is not present. I live in the booneys of Kauai and there is no one to trust for service on this unit. I am very adept at most electronic/ electrical repairs, but I dont want to tear into this flying blind. Any help?

Same exact problem. TV was working fine last night, then wouldn't turn on this morning. We can hear it click on, and the green power light will be on for approx 2-3 seconds. We then hear another click and it powers off. Haven't tried the fuse yet -- no idea what to buy or where to put it.

When I turn on the tv it clicks and the green light comes for a couple of seconds and clicks off. I checked all the fuses can this be the capacitor issue I read about.

It's been my experience that this is usually cause by a blown fuse. Check all the fuses on the boards inside the TV

Hi,
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

Where are the covergence controls in ws55809 tv located

All convergence adjustments on this set are done with the original remote control--you will find the CONVERGENCE in the customer menu---if set will not adjust there you have a circuit problem.

I have fixed hundreds of these sets--if it will not adjust let me know and I can tell you what is needed to fix it.
