Problem for Mitsubishi WS-55809 55 in. Rear Projection Television
Mitsubishi WS55809 won't start up.

My WS-55809 was not in use for a few months. It now will not turn on. When turned on manualy or by remote, the green timer light illuminates but the familar clicking sound ( relay, selonoid,??) is not present. I live in the booneys of Kauai and there is no one to trust for service on this unit. I am very adept at most electronic/ electrical repairs, but I dont want to tear into this flying blind. Any help?

- When I turn on the tv it clicks and the green light comes for a couple of seconds and clicks off. I checked all the fuses can this be the capacitor issue I read about. - Tenn-CajunNov 04, 2007
- Same exact problem. TV was working fine last night, then wouldn't turn on this morning. We can hear it click on, and the green power light will be on for approx 2-3 seconds.
