Booting problem/ virus infection

My mda pocket pc fails during booting process when it is restarted. sometime the screen goes blank during the booting process or it just hung before the booting is complete. When it boots fully, it can not function for more than five minutes or when you press any button the screen just goes blank again then it restarts after a while. What could be the problem please?

SOURCE: Cannot Activesync TMobile MDA Pocket PC on as Specific Computer (works on others)

You sound like you know what you're doing, but here's something quick to check - click on the hotsync arrows in the system tray and see what kind of connection is checked. This should be the same setting if you click the hotsync icon on the palm once.

If that's not it, try this to see if your computer is having problems detecting it -
Open up device manager and look down at the USB controllers. Sync the palm and see if a Yellow triangle with an exclamation in the middle pops up - If so, double click on it and try re-installing the drivers.

SOURCE: Dash stuck on opening TMobile screen

The Windows Mobile installation may be corrupted.
The only way to fix that problem is by re-installing the windows software on the phone.
You can get the software for the T-mobile dash at the following link: http://www.t-mobile.com/wmupgrade/
Be warned that if you use this method most of the data on the phone will be lost, like text messages and etc. Your contacts should be fine as the are stored on the SIM Card and if you have been syncing your contacts with your PC then they should get loaded when you do the up

Try pressing F8 during restart.

When the menu ones - choose "Last Known Good"

Failing that - you can try some of the other options. Does it open in Safe Mode?
If so - open it and run some virus scans. If you can get to it, install and run Superantispyware from

Won't boot - brief blue screen

Press F8 while booting but before it goes into SAFE mode select "Temporarily disable restart." Now you should be able to read the Blue Screen. If this doesn't work it's likely you have the GenericFX virus and you'll need to repair the operating system.

You may have a virus or root-kit infecting your machine. When you reboot, try booting into safe mode and run a virus scanner.

I am not sure what your technical know how level is at, but if you need directions to boot into safe mode, let me know!

Matrix when booting up.

Make sure you run an updated anti-virus program on the machine in Safe-Mode. You will also want to scan for any root-kits or malware that could be infecting your machine. The thing about malware and root kits is that they appear to be removed (when using an anti-virus program) but can reside in the boot record, so when you reboot, the machine automatically loads the root kit and infects your machine again. I would also scan for spy ware.

Here are some programs you could try:

MalwareBytes (run in safe mode first)

Vipre or kaspersky anti-virus (run in safe mode after malware bytes)

AdAware (scans for spyware, run in safemode as well)

Seek and destroy is another good scanner to run as well.

Failing all those scans, you should backup any important files and reformat the hard drive and reinstall the OS. If there is still a problem, then chances are this is a hardware issue.

Computer not booting up

Hi,

This sound like you might have corrupted windows systems files. See if you can restart the PC using the last known configuration. You can do the by pressing the F8 key during the windows startup process.

My computer wont boot up

If your computer was infected then it is still infected unless you have used an anti virus program to remove the infection. After removing the virus you then can install xp. Hope this helps.

Black screen

Seems to be some infection of virus or might be the Startup processes making problem.

Do one thing.. try booting up in Safe Mode by continuously tapping F8 during restart..

This will enable you to opt for Safe Mode login and see if this can make you to get your desktop screen.

After then we can proceed for further diagnose.

Reply me ASAP with current status.. Dont vote till you satisfied and fix the problem
