All the flat panel TVs are somewhat made to last less then 2 years. That's why the warranty is only 1 year for most TVs. Every TV is going to need repair sooner or later. So don't get discourage by it.
If you are a do-it-yourself person, it's cheaper than replacing the TV.
Here's the best place to get replacement parts:

Replaced the T-CON board on a dynex dx lcd32-09 no issue resolved

Check all ribbon connections, and LVDS (cable from main board to t-con) connections. I'm thinking you may have an issue with the LCD panel itself. If that is the case, it will not be worth repairing.

Someone dropped it and screen looks cracked when it comes on...wondered if it was worth repairing

No,not worth repairing and it is impossible to get the tv LCD screen panel as refurbish as part and buy it from the outside if u can find it at all 50/50 it is garbage LCD screen panel u are buying.Only the tvs Corporations themselves, the LCD screen panel are 100% good. But it is 90% importamt to the tv functions. They'll charges u the same as a new tv.Sorry tvs with broken LCD screen panel are worth as for PCB boards as salvages tvs for it electronic boards only now.

On the bottom of the tv there are two boards that buffer the vertical sections of the screen. You need to take the tv apart (if you're able) and look for burnt sections on the buffer board below the problem area. Once you replace this section of board you will have no problems. The problem is happening once the board heats up from normal use.

Hope this helps :)

Hello, My tv is about 5yrs old.We heard a loud

Hi,
You need to replace Y main board & buffer, which will cost you around $600-700. Since the TV is five years it will be better to go with new, and it won't be worth enough to spend $700 for old TV.

Hope this helps.

If it is a plasma TV, may be the bad connections, you can try to reconnect the cables on the buffer E or F board. But some model of panels the buffer E or F board connect to the panel directly without connector, so solve the problem need to replace the panel.
If it is a LCD TV, the panel may need to replace.

Dynex DX-LCD32-09. tv was working fine, then out

This type of failure could be in the LCD controller board or the power supply might not be providing enough voltage to the main board and LCD controller.
Let me know if you require further assistance locating the boards or part numbers.
