If you are comfortable with opening devices you can take a multimeter to the battery. If the phone doesn't turn on if you battery has 3.7V or more you have a logic board issue. Oh, did you do a hard reset yet? Press menu and sleep/wake button together for 5 sec. If after all revival attempts you still don't get it to turn on It's usually an issue with the logic board, so ultimately if you want to resolve it, the logic board needs to be replaced. There are iPhone Repair guides that show you how.

Allrght .. when the battery dies out, the iphone needs to be charged for atleast 10-20 minutes before even the charging indication comes on.. for the first 10-20 minutes u wun't even know if it is charging or not.. but after 20 minutes if u switch it on ,, it will come on and then it will show charging..
if this doesn't help , pls take it to the place where u bought it from and have them look at it..

My phone wont turn on or charge

If it's not charging to the point where it drain the battery, then you could have a damage port in the iPhone. With that said, your device needs to be taken apart to replace the charge port. The part looks something like this image. 94f565a2-1793-4597-9cb5-3ef99270148b.jpg
This one is for an iPhone 3gs, but you get the idea. Best of luck.

MY IPHONE DIED AND NOW WONT TURN BACK ON

First check to make sure your charger is working, plug it up to the computer and see if the battery charging display comes up.

Second I would check to make sure the battery is actually charging.

Third try a cold boot, hold the power and home keys down while it boots it could just simply be locked up.

If your iPhone's battery runs very far down, the iPhone won't turn on. That's because it's using its remaining battery life to preserve your data and settings. So, your iPhone could be refusing to turn on because its battery doesn't have enough juice. In that case, plug your iPhone into a wall charger or into your computer (plug it directly into the computer; some USB ports on keyboards don't have enough power to charge iPhones). Let it sit for 10-20 minutes. If it was low on battery and needed a charge, when it's got enough juice to power the screen, it will turn on and show you its charging status, starting with the red battery icon.During this process, you may also want to make sure there's no lint packed into your cable or the iPhone's dock connector. This isn't a hugely common problem, but a lot of pocket lint could interfere with the iPhone getting a charge.

Problem:

Solution
:
  1. ive tried charging and holding both buttons but nothing that means it is a hardware problem or the motherboard
  2. try resetting it by pressing and hold the Sleep/Wake button (on the top right of the unit) and the Home button (circular button on the iPhone?s face) simultaneously for at least 10 seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
  3. The first tip worked for me too, just try resetting it... Here's the logic: When your iPhone dies, the internal RAM shuts down after the reserve battery power is used. This in turn sleeps the motherboard, which is why it appears dead. Resetting the RAM on the motherboard will juice the very small amount of energy out of the battery to re-boot the motherboard. If resetting your iPhone doesn't work for you at first. Lay it in your cradle for approx. 10 minutes then try resetting. Although it doesn't appear so, you will actually be charging the battery, just without waking the motherboard.
  4. Hold down the home button then plug the usb lead into the back of the computer at the same time. see if that helps!
