The valves need tightening quite a bit. Take them off and wrap the PINK 1/2" teflon tape (Home Depot, Lowes) around them 3 to 4 times. Then take large wrenches, one to hold and one to tighten, and tighten them quite tight. If they still leak, turn off and tighten more. Eventually they will seal and stop leaking. Also, make sure, if they use them, that your O-rings are properly positioned.

Thank you for posting your question here on Fixya.com.

The cause for those parts to fail is almost always running dry or poor water flow. Check for things like partially closed valves, dirty filter(s), leaks in the pump allowing cavitation or poor plumbing with too many elbows stacked together as the cause. Your solution(s) will vary depending upon the cause of the failures.

I have a Waterway Hiflo 2hp and lately is kind of loud. Do they need like oil or some kind of maintenance? Thanks

More often that not you probally had a leaking seal and the water is causing the bearing to rust and make noise. At this point you will need to have the motor rebearingd or get a new motor. depending on the age and condition of the one you have.

I hear air sounds in the top of my filter how do I get the air out?

It should eventually purge just by running. If it continues, you could have a suction leak in your piping. Check drain plugs in pump. Check strainer basket cover and gasket for leaks. Check any control valves for leaks, Check the multiport valves for leaks. If the basket was ever out of the pump, some item may be bouncing around inside also.

I have a Waterway 48-Frame 2HP 115v pool pump for my above ground pool. I just purchased it about 2 weeks ago from Rec Warehouse. It was working good no problem for about a week and half then all of of...

Check to see that the pool pumps mounting is secure. Loose mounting could cause the motor to run loudly. It could be bearings rubbing or a bent shaft. If it is new, this should not have happened. If you check the mounting and feel that it is secure, I would return the pump to an authorized Waterway service agent and let them look to see if the bearings or shaft are damaged. I would do this quickly while you can still return the pump if its defective.
