Question about Hayward SAND FILTER, PRO SERIES
Trying to begin our second year with new Hayward S-180T filter and filter was doing fine for a day and then began leaking from waste line while filter running. Re did all start-up steps from beginning and it still leaks. the filter/waste outlet continously runs while the pump is on. Mine does the same thing, it wont filter it just keeps sending waste out, I replaced the gasket and the spring and nothing has changed!
When you had the unit apart, did you note the correct alignment of the handle to the diverter? You may have put the handle on 180 degrees away from the correct orientation and therefore flipped all the settings, making filter=backwash, etc...
If thats not it, any chance it has freeze damage inside from not draining completely and therefore needs a new valve?
