Question about Tivoli Model Three Clock Radio
Would like to switch off light in Tivoli 3 clock. Bright at night!! Did not receive manual with purchase. Thanks David
DO NOT CUT ANY WIRES ON THE CLOCK LOOM BUNDLE! (The Brown Wire Is The Alarm Function) EVER!
Unscrew the four corner screws in the rear of the cabinet.
Allow front fascia to slide out to reveal clock back.
Unplug both the clock loom and snooze button loom, this allows the front to lay down.
Carefully unpeel the protective felt on the back of the clock to expose the back cover screws (2), undo.
Lift cover to reveal inner clock and you will notice a small circuit board when the position on the light is...held in by 4 small screws, undo and carefully lift up the board to reveal the LED on its stems.
Carefully cut one and slightly bend (will help restore light function in future). Done!
Carefully reassemble clock and reconnect wire looms...Then carefully make sure all radio function wires are clear of fascia rear end to ***** back into cabinet. Done!

Proceed at your own discretion, this will void your warranty. This worked with my Model 3 clock radio:
1)Remove the four corner screws on the back panel with a long phillips screwdriver.
2) Do not remove the two other screws on the back panel.
3)Gently pull the front panel forward, sliding it out of the wooden case leaving the back panel in place. You can pull of the front panel just free of the case and lay it flat before the connected wires are taught.
4)Unplug the 7 wire harness leading to the back of the clock.
5)Separate the brown wire from between the black and red wires to make room to cut, or modify it.
6)The brown wire is the lead wire to the LED light on the clock. To permanently disable the light, cut the brown wire. Better yet, install a switch in line with the brown wire, which I have not attempted yet and is not covered in this fixya.
Good luck, I have always loved this radio except for the pesky light keeping me up at night.
