Question about Cameras
your device works with 3 DC volt. if something give to the device more than 3 volts it can get hurt. and it looks like your new batteries are not useable i mean has got much more 3 volts. the device got damaged. it looks like motherboard of the device down because of over currency volts.

What kind of batteries did you insert? Make sure to insert the battery properly. Positive terminal is the (+) sign and the negative terminal (-) sign. Try to check if you have it the other way around.
