Hello.

From the service manual:

System Error: 0B000D
Problem
Description:
24 V source test failure.
Corrective Action: Replace the Electronics Module

HP Part number: C6072-60146

I just looked up the pricing and it's not cheap. Let me know if I can be of further assistance.

Dont' replace the electronics module! Thats a rip off. You need to check for the resistence between the transistor pins, the transistors read 3055V, the transistors that are bad will read zero resistence, they are on the main circuit board towards the left hand side near where it reads scan axis motor. There are four of them, usually 2 of them short out and then it blows the white little 10amp surface mount fuse in the top right hand corner of the board. Need to solder on new transistors and fuse. Fuse is made by littlefuse..

I could use a little more direction on the location of the resistors.

Hi, I believe this error occurs when there is no 24 volt supply to the PCB. Go back and check you have plugged all the connectors back in correctly.

Thanks

Designjet 1050c system error 0A0050

0A0050 indicates a leak in the tube system has been detected. Can be caused by condensation, but more likely the tubes are leaking and need to be replaced.

Hello. 0B000D error during start-up indicates a 24VDC failure. This is generally caused by a failed DC power supply. There are 2 types of power supplies - 1 for the 1050C series and 1 for the 1050C Plus series. They can both be found at: HP Designjet 1050C 1055CM repair parts

SYSTEM ERROR CODE 04C300 C8CC0000 THEN STOPPED PRINTING MIDWAY THROUGH JOB iT SAYS TO HIT ENTER TO CONTINUE BUT GOES INTO A LOOP OF ERROR CODE /HIT ENTER, ETC

This is an IO error. Remove the back cover and disconnect the cables to the HDD and remove the JetDierct card. Print the internal test page. If it prints OK, install the Jet Direct card. Print again. Prints OK? Replace the HDD (or run without it). Does not print OK?
Replace the JetDirect card. Parts available at: http://www.lpscomputer.com/c-654-designjet-1050c-1055cm.aspx

Error code showing on my HP 1050c plotter

The error stands for : 24V source test failure.

And i'm sorry to say but the service manual then tells you to try the following:

- Replace the scan-axis motor assembly.
- Replace the paper-axis motor assembly.
- Replace the service station assembly.
- Replace the main pca.
- Replace the ISS pca.
- Replace the power supply unit.
- Replace the electronics module.

(only replace one component at a time)

Yeah then you have to guess which part to start with.

Maybe anybody else on this forum knows more about the error and has a better idee about the part you should start with.

Just take a good look at the machine, and check which sections of the start up works before the error is prompted.

e.g. If the carriage moves then you could say that the scan-axis motor is probably ok.

Good luck....
