Question about Computers & Internet
I need to reset my machine back to the factory settings do you know what disc it is that I need to restore my machine to the factory settings??
What model of pc do you have. Different manufacturers provide different utilities for restoring operating system. nowadays most of the manufacturers provide recovery utility which is in the hidden partition on the hard drive. that can be lauched by pressing F10 key or F9 key (it really depends on manufacturer.
Make sure you backup all your important data before doing factory restore.
Alternatively you can get retail vertion of XP or Vista or any other operating system this depends on your hardware.
If this will not work let me know the brand of your PC>

I'm going to make a guess here and assume you have a PC and want to reset it back to the way it was when you 1st brought it home.
You need a Recovery CD. Every new PC comes with one and it sounds like you lost yours. Just contact the manufacturer and ask for a replacement.
