Re: screen

I would'nt say that is for sure a pixel out. It may just be dust on the small lower mirror in that set. I would concider mirrors or screens on that model first.

Re: screen

You will have to replace the light engine to fix this. if you have no previous expierience repairing tvs i wouldnt recomend doing this yourself.

How do I fix pixels on my tv screen

Usually solved by replacing the DLP chip (Google it) they cost around 180. If you have a couple hundred more I'd just go buy a Samsung LCD smart tv.

How to fix my 65" toshiba white pixel problem

Thats caused by the DLP chip. Unfortunately most Toshiba models will end up having to have both the DLP chip and the formatter board replaced at the same time to fix the issue where as other models only require replacing the DLP chip alone to fix the white dots issue

I have a Mitsubishi WD-62525. In general the picture is great from all sources (cable, component, and hdmi). However, there occasionally are very thin, horizontal lines that flicker across the screen....

I have seen this problem before. It is usually caused by a malfunctioning color wheel. Replacing it should resolve the problem. Let me know if you wish to fix it yourself so that I can find you a replacement.

I have a 3 year old Mitsubishi Model WD-73733 73 inch HDTV that has developed a white dot just a little right an up from the center of the television. What do I do?

I hope this helps please rate that it helped you so i know it did. thanks

  1. Turn off your monitor.
  2. Get yourself a damp cloth, so that you won't scratch the screen.
  3. Apply pressure to the area where the stuck pixel is. Try not to put pressure anywhere else, as this may trigger the creation of more stuck pixels.
  4. While applying pressure, turn on your computer and screen.
  5. Remove pressure and the stuck pixel should be gone.
This works because in a stuck pixel liquid in a subpixel has not spread equally. In combination with the backlight of your screen, this liquid is used to allow different amounts of light to pass through, which creates the different colors.
Should all of these approaches fail to fix your pixel warrior, at least you'll now know it's not simple to fix and the LCD may indeed need to be replaced. But please do let us know if these tips helped you to fix your pixels. In any case, good luck!

if this didnt work try the other four steps located in my tips and tricks page here:

I have dots slowly starting to appear on my wd-73735. I bought the tv in February 2009 and the light engine had to be replaced once in September of last year. now what do I do?

These dots are called pixels and if they are a certain color, they are stuck. If they are black, they are dead. You can't do anything about to fix the dots neither the service without the replacement of the display (screen)
