Question about HP LaserJet 8100N Printer - Refurbished
Just changed out the toner with a new cartridge and cleaned the rollers and the top part of the copy is fine, but the bottom half is gray. Any ideas? Thanks.
I assume you had the issue before you changed the toner, If so the problem is either the fuser or the Laser.
start a print job and after you hear the paper feed into the machine open the top cover to stop the machine. You want to stop the page before it gets to the fuser. May take a couple tries.
remove the toner cart.
the page should be under the cart with the image on it.
If the line is on the page the problem is image development(toner or laser).
If no lines the problem is likely the fusing assm.
