Question about Whirlpool GEW9250P Electric Dryer
I am once again asking for help with my Dryer...it was wired wrong and blew a transformer on the main board. I bought and replaced the board...however the only thing that works (once the dryer is plugged in) is the interior light. I cannot get any of the lights on the front panel to come on etc. I looked at the fuse (was told to make sure that it was not ruptured from the center) and it looked fine. Ohmed out the power cord against the dryer and I had good flow...however once the unit is plugged in I am not getting a response....except when I open the dryer door the interior light comes on. Additional question...the fuse is known as a thermal fuse correct...and do I need to ohm that out too? Also would this fuse keep the front control panel from coming on???
I would say youwould save money by having a technician from a reputable company come and check the unit. you could have multiple problems from what you did when it was wired wrong.
