Re: hdmi connection for camcorder to hdtv does not work.
If i am to understand you correctly, you are are connecting a mini-HDMI adapter to the TV, and another adapter to the camera, then connecting the two adapters together.. i believe this may be an issue..
Too many adapters can actually cause signal issues, especially when converting a digital signal to analog, then back to digital, or vice versa.
Check to see if the manufacturer of your camera has an adapter to go directly from the camera output source to your TV's input.
Cam > adapter > TV = Correct Cam > adapter > adapter2 > TV = Signal degridation
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Either the HDM firmware or the circuit board will be faulty. Connect it with an other known good HDMI cable, and make sure that the fault is not with the connecting cable. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
Broadcast MTS from Sony HDR-CX130E on HDTV with Eminent-DTS Streamer

What my favorite is to enjoy the interesting and happy moments shot in my Sony HDR CX130E with my family. To make the vision effect best, I spend much on Eminent-DTS streamer and a HDTV. It's valuable as the two devices really bring us happiness and laugh. Wonder how do I achieve that? Hope the following instructions help.

How to Lossless Merge Sony HDR-CX 130E AVCHD Files for Playback on HDTV through Eminent-DTS?

1. Import videos to Aunsoft Final Mate.
As videos are on Sony HDR-CX 130E, just use USB cable to connect camera to PC and run Aunsoft Final Mate as MTS/M2TS joiner and editor. Follow the pop-up message on Final Mate to import clips to Camcorder tab.
2. Merge and Edit Sony HDR-CX 130E AVCHD footage to get what you want.
Merge Several Sony AVCHD files into one - Drag the AVCHD clips into the location showed in the following picture and edit with the function keys to restore, adjust, cut and so on.

3. Lossless Output the video.
Having finished merging and editing the AVCHD clips, just Click the Create New Movie button, and a new Movie ID for lossless output will be created on Movies tab. Then you can choose to store the new video in your PC or USB.

4. Enjoy AVCHD movies on HDTV via Eminent-DTS with your family.
When the new video was created, you can choose where to enjoy it. PC is perfect for a single, but if you'd like to share with your family or friends, HDTV is a better choice. Just connect your Eminent-DTS (maybe you have another player, it doesn't matter) and HDTV with HDMI Cable. Play the files in your PC or USB and enjoy it.
This can indicate a problem with the high voltage circuits. Since this is a new set, it should still be under warranty. DO NOT open up the unit as that will void the warranty. Return the set or request warranty service. Note the 8 blinks when you request service as that should allow them to bring the correct replacement parts.
Like above, use an optical connection (need fiber optic cable) or a coaxial connection (single RCA cable). HDMI might also work, but I personally haven't checked. Connect the audio outs from the cable box to the audio ins on the home theater. The TV will only need a video connection from the cable box, as well as one from the home theater (for DVDs, onscreen menus).
I have looked up the infomation on your TV I noticed that your TV has two HDMI input plugs. Since your SONY BRAVIA is hooked up to one port, you need to buy another HDMI cable for your PS3. On your tv remote you should have an option to switch from video 1 to video 2 so then you can switch from the SONY BRAVIA to the PS3 the problem is you will only hear your PS3 Sound from you TV. If you want to hear your PS3 sound from your SONY BRAVIA you need to buy an optical cable (also called TOSLINK) to connect from your PS3 to the SONY BRAVIA.
Is Yamaha HTR-640 a receiver? Try HDMI from PS3 to receiver or Sony HDTV. If HDMI from PS3 to receiver the you need and HDMI from receiver to out Sony HDTV. You could connect everything to receiver and HDMI out to HDTV. You can not have an HDMI cable AND an optical cable coming out of the PS3, only one or the other.
make sure you have Tv on that particular HDMI input .I believe video 6 or 7 .if you do check menu make sure that input is not blocked. or you might want to try the component outputs of cable box and connect that to a component input on tv to see if that is working,,i have seen these tv HDMI input board bad..lets hoe this is not the case..
