The only part that makes a loud noise is your bearings m8 other than that could be a bra wire stuck inbetween your drum and casing m8

Why does my dishwasher not drain completely at the end of its cycle.

Good Morning Friend,

I understand your Electrolux dishwasher, model# EIDW5905JS, will not completely drain at the end of the cycle. It is not normal for water to remain in the bottom of the tub at the end of a cycle. If water remains in the bottom of the tub at the end of a cycle, the dishwasher may not be draining properly. Please follow these troubleshooting tips:

1)If unit is hooked up to a garbage disposal, make sure the disposer is empty.

2)If unit is hooked up to a new food waste disposer, check to see if the "knockout" plug located inside the disposal inlet has been removed.

3)Check to see if drain hose is kinked.

4)Make sure cycle is complete, not in a pause.

I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your appliances status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful.

    -Best Regards-

Loud humming just started during wash cycle

Humming can be simply due to a mechanical vibration when the wash pump is running. Alternatively it could be the sound of the detergent door solenoid which might be stuck.
Will need make and model number of dishwasher to give further advise. Does the dishwasher complete the cycle and drain out the water?

Hello I have a Maytag Washer Model A512 The machine goes through a regular cycle OK - However, it DOES drains the water out during the rinse cycle, but does NOT drain the water out during the spin...

The timer will always advance to the next program if the machine does not fully drain. There is ALWAYS a spin when draining the water out, there is only one pump and one motor. The waterlogged laundry maybe telling the timer that there is still water in the tub. Put the machine on "Spin" and cheat the lid switch into thinking that the lid is closed. Use a clothes peg or wide ended screwdriver and see if there really is a spin....

Washer functions properly thru all cycles. The problem is when draining or the drum turning slowly there is a ''loud vibration'' sound from the washer. It appears to be the ''Pump'' and/or motor, but only...

Could be a coin in the pump if this has a filter then remove and clean if noot then you may need to clear pump blades, could also be pump on its own faulty..good luck

I am getting a lot of vibration from my pump

there is a bad bearing inside that has worn out and causes vibration and excess heat, when it frees up it will spin quiet for a little then bind and vibrate again. need to replace bearing.

Loud noise, then not so loud, but now electrical burning smell and little draining

the smell is your clutch and the lack of draining is a clogged washer drain protector. see these at drain protector is part 541811 and clutch is 2670. go there enter model number and scroll down to the red 100 click it and look for these part numbers.

to check pump is ok, cancel cycle and restart - first action is to pump out.
could be that appliance is in fact sticking in cycle usually due to not heating so check if this is the case

Loud vibrating/humming noise

Okay...based on the model number, this is a Frigidaire manufactured dishwasher. If you go to and type in the your model number in the Search menu, you will find a useful illustration under the "Motor and Pump" heading. The drain pump is listed as item #60 in the drawing. Before you go through any major dis-assembly, check to make sure the pump is securely in place and not loose. Sometimes the pump comes loose from the mounting bracket and vibrates. Also, sure nothing is laying against it causing vibration noises (I've seen this before). If the solution is not that simple, remove the spray arm assembly inside the dishwasher and inspect all the debris traps under the spray arm assembly. The wash pump and drain pump sumps are located here. Check to make sure there's nothing obstructing the input to the drain pump. Lastly, if all else fails, remove the drain pump and inspect the impeller. If the you've inspected everything and still have the noise problem, replace the drain pump. The motor could possible be failing. The part number on the Sears website is 154580301 and costs about $40. has the same part listed as item #1257094 for $37.50 if you wish to do some comparable pricing.

I hope this helps you. If you need further assistance, please post back and let me know.

PS Even the quietest of all dishwashers will make some noise. However, if it has gotten to the point where you can hear it in the next room, you probably need to inspect to find the source of the problem. This is not true with all dishwasher manufacturers, but in many cases, the only difference between your "Quiet-Pack" line and regular low-end models is added insulation behind the door and lower panel to help quieten noise.
