You may have the cable that comes with the camcorder has built in filters and also When connecting the camcorder to a PC using a DV cable, make sure to Connect the DV cable first to the PC, and then to the camcorder. You need to use 4 pin Firewire cable to connect to your PC.
Drivers may be auto installed. Else, you can install from the CD which came with the cam.
After connecting the cable, switch on the cam and open movie maker to download the video.
