What size fuse would I want on my cd receiver head ? I was blew them and thought it was 5 amp but they keep blowing after I put in 5 amp fuses ..would it hurt to try 15 amp?????

I would say that if you are blowing a 5 amp fuse and are not pushing the system hard, then you have an issue. You could try a larger fuse, but make sure you look for hot spots and smoke. I would bet you either have a shorted wire or will need to replace the unit.

5 amp fuse keeps blowing

Hi Jeff,
The fuse is to protect the blower, you and other equipment. It is a warning that something is not working correctly.
If you have a multimeter, use it to see if you have a short circuit or a partial short circuit by using the ohm measurement.
Physically check the wires and and wire connections in the unit to see if there is any sign of shorting out - usually looks like a black smudge.
Do not replace the fuse with a higher rating fuse.
If you can find some short circuit, thoroughly clean the area, or replace the faulty wire, or both.
If you cannot find a fault easily, you may have to get the unit seviced.

Very unlikely, sounds like it's faulty. Was this on plugging in or were you using the amp, and if so doing what? What is your supply oltage?

You either have something wired wrong or you have a direct short in the system. Are you starting the A/C or the furnace? If it's the A/C, it could be a shorted compressor, capacitor, fan motor or it's wired wrong.

I have a Americana RM2652 It works on gas, but not 110 volts. The 5 amp fuse keeps blowing. Any ideas????

My guess is that the element is shorted out not much else to go wrong, elements are not that resilient to shocks and bumps.

The ECM1 fuse blowing usually indicates that the fuel pump wires shorted inside the tank. If you drop the tank and remove the module, you will probably find the insulation burned off the gray pump wire.

Washing machine fuse blows every couple of washes

the machine is pulling to much power.check to see if it is on a 15 or 20 amp outlet. you said you replaced the fuse. the amp size should be on it. if it is a 15 amp fuse, plug the machine into a 20 amp circuit and see if the fuse blows then. it shouldn't since it wasn't blowing everytime on the 15 amp circuit, but never put a 20 amp fuse in a 15 amp socket! the fuse can handle the load[ no pun intended], but the electrical wire would burn not blowing the fuse, thus causing a fire.
hope this helps.
