Alot of times with front loader machines they will shake at high speed even if the machine is level. The floor may not sturdy enough. You can put a piece of 3/4" plywood or something like that under you machine. I know putting plywood under your machine is not the best looking thing, but it should help the shaking. The product just needs to to sturdy.

I would check it with a 3 foot level at all angles, the delievery people don't actually level it, they just do it quickly in front of you, it's either that or your floor needs replacing, since you say it is not over loaded

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
Follow these notes first, please!
It is necessary to ensure absolutely that the machine has all 4 feet very firmly on the floor, and I mean firmly ;-0)

Doesn't matter whether it is empty or not but switch it off then-
very firmly push one front corner diagonally into the centre of the machine and see if the machine moves or rocks AT ALL, even the slightest. If it does you will need the open-ended spanner which came with the (new) machine........which of course went missing a long time ago?!! An adjustable spanner will suffice.
Adjust the foot under that corner downwards until it is very firmly- almost pushing- against the floor but not so far that the corner lifts up!
If this corner did not rock do the same to the other.
Once you cannot rock the machine the slightest little bit, screw the locking nuts up tight to the underside of the machine so that they will not move. Ideally the rear feet should also be locked.

(If this has not cured the problem it is possible that the internal suspension is malfunctioning.)

If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

Shakes a lot on high speed spin

Hi from France,

It is paramount that all washing machines are set absolutely level. The slightest deviation will show on high speed spin.
Often the 2 feet under the rear are not adjustable but the 2 at the front will be. Ensure that there is no way that you can rock the machine as you adjust and that the feet become more difficult to adjust/turn as they reach optimum positioning ( because they are taking the weight of the machine by pushing down onto the floor).
If the machine is not very new and adjustment does not cure, it could be that one or more of the internal shock absorbers is malfunctioning but please ensure it IS absolutely level first!

Cheers,
John C

Drum shakes during spin cycle

I have a 7 year old duet washer. It started to shake during the spin cycle. It is level and the shocks and springs holding the drum are working. When the washer gets to the spin cycle, it is apparent that the drum is off center.
I tore the machine apart and found that there is a bracket at the back of the drum. This bracket sits in water so it was covered in slime. I found several large cracks in the bracket. Once these cracks occur, there is now way the drum can spin correctly. The bracket is welded to the back of the drum, so it has to be completely replaced.
What a poor design. I would guess that many, many other people will be seeing the same problem within a couple years. I was lucky in that I did not pay for a repairman to try to fix it.

Front load washer shakes violently during spin cycle

On something like this you will need to remove the washer wrap to inspect the suspension springs & base assembly. Please see the link provided for accessing the inside of the washer. Be sure the shipping pins have been removed. The tub should float freely.

Washing Machine Shaking

Most common cause for the machine to shake during the spin cycle is due to a unbalanced load. A load of a couple of small bulky items or a small load in general may not be able to distribute the weight properly causing the machine to be unbalanced. It is best to wash full loads whenever possible. We have a brand new front loader as well, our first load about took the walls down...We just tossed a couple things in to see how it worked....thats how I learned to wash full loads. Now with the knowledge of why it shook so bad, we have had no more problems. Hope this helps

Please take the time to give this a fix ya rating

Loose mounting points or broken pins. If not that then possibly drum shaft could be cracked.

Maytag Epic Washer high spin shaking, AND high-pitched sound coming out of washer

When someone reports severe vibration during spin on a brand new washer, the first question always has to be whether the transit brackets have been left in.

Washers are designed so that the drum and motor float on a collection of springs and shock absorbers. To prevent damage to these during shipping, a set of brackets is used to bolt the floating assembly to the case. If these aren't removed before first use (the manual will say how to do it) havoc ensues.

The irritating whine is a new one on me.

Walking during the spin cycle

Try placing it on a rubber mat or carpet that has a rubber backing. The floor may be too smooth and allows it to walk.
