I charge my phone (which is a Motorola) all the time with the USB cord. If you have the driver for your phone installed on your computer, it should work =)

Why won't my Pride Go-Go Elite Traveller batteries charge using a trickle charger? The batteries are new, but my charger quit working.

Hi Robert , can you clarify what you mean by a trickle charger ?, any chance of a photo of the charger ?

using a standard gel battery charger , the charger will charge the batteries in question and once fully charged, the charger will trickle charge the batteries.. This is a standard operation and recommended by battery makers...

Rob

I have the Trio 7" Dual core tablet. The battery is not charging completely, can this battery be replaced and if so where do I find the battery in the unit?

Battery replacement is possible. The battery is a flat component encased in a shiny silvery sheath behind the speaker area inside the back cover. It's mounted with double-sided (very) sticky-tape. A replacemnent battery should be sourced, having the same power specifications as well as physical dimensions. (see detailed close-up photo attached.) Replacement involves desoldering the 2 terminal wires (1 red and 1 black) which attach it to the main board, and replacing the battery with a new(er) unit.
The above having been said,I'd only replace the tablet battery if I was sure that it's the battery at fault. Here's what I'd suggest.
First, check that you're using a charger with the proper 5 Volt / 2Amp (2000milliamp) output. Also I'd suggest you use a charger designed to be plugged intothe G2 7" Dual-Core tablet's dedicated charging port. (See sample tablet charger in attached photo) The G2 tablets WILL typically accept charging output via the micro USB port, for example, from a typical cell phone charger. However typical phone chargers which will happily attach to the Trio or other similar tablets, via the micro-USB port do NOT often have the same output power specifications. This I think may cause difficulty with the tablet battery not reaching the fully-charged status. Also, the use of the USB port for charging may cause access problems if the battery power is low during some operations (eg data transfer in slave mode), as the charging port can not multitask as the USB port can. If power to the main boad is lost during such operations the tablet may become "bricked". Bottom line for me would be to use the dedicated appropriately rated charger whenever possible: it's the reccommended charging method.

My Samsung s5 is not charging their is nothing wrong with my charger

check this

1. First of all make sure that you are using an approved wall charger of Samsung Company. Because charging accessories of other brands may have different voltage parameters and may cause Samsung Galaxy S5 not charging issue.

2. Plugged in your Samsung Galaxy S5 with an original Samsung Mobile charger, but do not turn on your phone. Sometimes it may take little longer to charge the phone. After you phone starts charging, a charging icon should appear on screen. But if you see nothing is appearing on screen, then Samsung Galaxy S5 not charging issue is occurring either for damaged charging cable or there is some problem on your phone such as the charging port is damaged or bent, or the charging contacts on your phone is not cleaned.

3. To check the charger, charge another Samsung phone using the same charger and see if it is charging. If the other phone is charging well, then the charger is fine. Now you should check your phone.

3. Check the charging port on your Galaxy S5. To check the charging port, take a light, magnifying glass and a pointed wooden toothpick. Then see if the charging port is in the center and not bent. If you find the port is bent, then straight it using the wooden toothpick carefully.

3. Also verify the charging contacts are clean. Sometimes dirt gets stored into the charging port and occurs Samsung Galaxy S5 not charging issue. So Insert a small needle in the charging port and clean carefully so that the port does not get bent or damaged.

4 Download Galaxy Charging Current, to see if your phone is charging at it's maximum potential

How to fix Samsung Galaxy S5 not charging issue

Summary

  • Try a different charger with Samsung mobile origin.

  • Try a different USB Cable and charge by Kies.

  • Try charging it off via PC/Laptop.

  • Try removing the battery for 3 minutes, let it cool down and then charging again.

try this

SAMSUNG GALAXY S5 - NO POWER, BATTERY, CHARGING AND CHARGER ISSUES alltabshighlighted.jpg

No power, battery, charging and charger issues

This guide contains troubleshooting steps and advice to help resolve issues you may experience when attempting to charge the handset.
After performing each step, please test to see if the issue is resolved.
Symptoms:
  • Battery not charging
  • Battery is not lasting long
  • Phone won't charge
  • Charging error
  • Failure to charge
  • Display remains black or blank
  • No power
  • Boot failure
  • Overheating
Troubleshooting Questions
  • Are you using the correct equipment?Make sure you are using an approved Samsung wall charger and USB charging cable. Other brands of charging accessories may have different voltage parameters and could cause charging issues when used with Samsung devices.
  • Have you charged your phone for longer than 30min? Leave your phone plugged in to the charger for about 30min without powering on. In some cases, it may take slightly longer for your phone to charge.
  • Is the battery icon displayed on the screen when charging? After charging your phone for a little while you should get a battery charging icon appear on the screen which will indicate that your battery is charging properly.
If the charging icon appears, leave your phone for a little longer before you try to switch your phone on.
If however, the screen is blank and nothing is displayed, follow the below troubleshooting steps.
  • Is the charging cable plugged into a USB port? Some charging cables can disconnect from the wall outlet adapter and plug directly into a USB port. However, when plugged into a USB port, the charging process is much slower due to the limited power output of USB ports. Instead, plug the device directly into a wall outlet to speed up the charging process.
  • Is the outlet faulty? Try a different outlet or check for a switch connected to the outlet. If possible, try powering a different device on the same outlet.
  • Does another USB cable, or wall charger work? Charging issues can occur if either the battery or charging cable is damaged. Verify that the charging contacts are clean. If necessary, clean the contacts using a cotton swab and rubbing on isopropyl alcohol.
If possible, test the charging cable by plugging it into another device and seeing if the device charges. Alternatively, try charging the device with a different cable. This may mean changing out the cable or the adapter on two-piece chargers.
If charging through a car charging kit, ensure that the car engine is running, and if possible try to charge other devices using other cables, through the same car kit. If none will charge, then it is likely there is a fault with the car charging kit. It is recommended to continue to cross-test devices, cables, and car kits until the problem device can be identified.
If the device charges when using a different USB cable or wall charger, the issue most likely lies with the charging accessory. In this case, follow the approved charger repair / replacement process.
Also, if the charger is connected via an extension or other multi-socket adapter, remove this and plug the charger directly into the wall-mounted socket. This will eliminate the possibility of a fault with the adapter.
If you are still unable to charge your device, continue to the next step.
  • Has the phone experienced any shock or exposure to water? Accidental physical shock to a handset can sometimes cause problems to arise with battery or charger, as these components contain delicate parts, particularly. Damage can occur either to the component itself, or to the component's connection to the motherboard.
Water exposure can also lead to damage of these components, however due to the slow way in which this type of damage can manifest itself, the cause may not always be readily obvious.
With any physical damage of this nature, the only recourse is to contact the device manufacturer, and follow their approved repair or replacement process.

LG Optimus L9 Screen blacks when charger/usb-to-computer cable plugged in.

sounds like you have a usb cable for charging only. You need a "2 way " usb cable, the kind used to transfer music and pictures to and from phone to computer. These one way cables are usually used in mobile chargering,as you don`t need to transfer things, just charge.Or you got wrong cable for your phone.

Samsung Galaxy S2 S95G will not charge

Usually this lack of charging is a faulty mini usb connector inside the SII phone or maybe the mini USB plug on the end of charger cable. If you have a friend with a working SII use their phone to verify your battery or try their good battery in your phone. This will confirm it' s a charging / battery issue.
Not sure if you did this:A workaround for a faulty mini USB conn. in the SII would to be to buy a new battery and an external battery charger with battery holder stand. Charge batteries in the stand and change the charged batteries over into the Galaxy SII as needed.

The usb for charging but it is not charging.

are you using the charger that came with the phone? I ask because I've run into in the past that if you try and use a different charger it may not work on your phone. you should use the one that came with the phone. having said that, you might want to try a different usb charger if that doesn't work it's probably the battery. Li-Ion batteries have charging circuits built in that can fail and also prevent the battery from charging if it's gone bad.
