Disconnected the battery in my GMC Sierra, and the radio display now reads loc. No radio or cd or nuttin. How do I fix that?
You should have the code printed somewhere in the owners manual, but not always the case. If you don't have the code, you will have to go to the dealer and have them put in the code for you or if you know someone at a dealership that would give you the code is a bonus. When you disconnect the battery ALWAYS make sure the radio is off, this should prevent this from happening again.
In your manuel there is instruction to unlocking the radio and you may have the code's written in the back. If it does ask for a code try 0000 and if that does not work try logging on to www.radio-code.com.
They can give you the instruction and codes you need to reset your radio. If you have a good relationship with the dealer they may be able to help you out too since they are always disconnecting and changing batteries.
Good luck and hope this helps.
