When the large burner is on, it keeps trying to ignite
Check that the burner orifice nozzle (the round thing that comes off) is properly seated on the burner manifold. Mine have a tab that must interlock.
Make sure all your burner orifices are CLEAN. Scrub them with a plastic kitchen scrubber, soap and water.
The way this works is, when a burner is turned on, the sensing mechanism for the spark control reads the ionization of the flame. No flame, no ionization, keep sparking so gas buildup is minimal in the area before a flame is ignited. )Kinda like the spark thingy's underneath the shuttle, without the ionization sensor's, just before it launches.).
Premier electronic ignition 4 burner and oven:
One burner automatically keeps firing sparks intermittently even when all the burners are Off. Started happening after some liquid was spilled. Cleaned up the burner area. Other burners work just fine. This one takes a while before lighting up and sometimes never lights up on its own spark (works if I use a lighter).
When all burners are turned in the off position, the electronic ignition keeps on firing. When I turn the large two-stage burner on it stops. If I turn on any or all of the other four burners and not the large two-stage burner, the electronic ignition continues to fire. It appaers that it is attempting to rectify a "blow-out" issue, but the burner and gas are in fact turned to the off position. I have tried checking/realigning the two-stage burner components, but that has not solved the problem. Any ideas??? This started happening while I was cleaning the cooktop after use.
