Electronic ignition When all burners are turned in the off position, the electronic ignition keeps on firing. When I turn the large two-stage burner on it stops. If I turn on any or all of the other four burners and not the large two-stage burner, the electronic ignition continues to fire. It appaers that it is attempting to rectify a "blow-out" issue, but the burner and gas are in fact turned to the off position. I have tried checking/realigning the two-stage burner components, but that has not solved the problem. Any ideas??? This started happening while I was cleaning the cooktop after use.

Premier electronic ignition 4 burner and oven:
One burner automatically keeps firing sparks intermittently even when all the burners are Off. Started happening after some liquid was spilled. Cleaned up the burner area. Other burners work just fine. This one takes a while before lighting up and sometimes never lights up on its own spark (works if I use a lighter).

Most likely you got water (or some other liquid) into the control knobs. Unplug, go to bed and try it again in the morning. If you continue to futz with it, you run the chance of burning out the electronics in the control knob, like I did. :(

The burnere ignitions keep on clicking and it is making the hob slightly electrified. I have to turn it off at the fuse box. Can I disconnect the ignition electricity supply?

The electronic igniter is stuck on the "on" position. U can disconnect the wire going to it and it will stop and you can resort to using a match to light the burner. OR, you can clean out the igniter assembly since they often get all gunked up with grease, etc and restore it to proper operation.

Cooktop burner do not ihnite

Hi hgodoy2 - Is the electronic igniter aligned properly? Ensure that tip of spark igniter is aligned with metal point or "nib" located on underside of burner cap after the burner mounting screws have been tightened. (Not all burners having mounting screws). When the burner control knob is set to the "LITE" position do the igniters spark? Can gas be heard or smelled coming from the burners when the control number is turned on? However, if you smell gas, I highly recommend turning the unit and the gas off if you can reach it and contact your gas provider. The range itself does not have a switch or regulator to relight it. Keep in mind that it may be experiencing an issue with the spark module, electrodes, wiring or EOC.

When one burner knob is turned to ignite all four burners turn on.

What do you mean by "all four burners turn on"
Some electronic ignite systems turn on on all the burners, But just the SPARK not the gas part of the burner.
Is this what you are describing?.

Electronic igniters will not turn off when the gas burner lites. all four igniters run untill you turn off the nob or unplug the unit

I'm dealing with this same problem. This cooktop has a dedicated simmer burner which is the only thing going on the lowest setting. This simmer burner seems to be how the igniter senses that it can stop. If it doesn't light, the igniter keeps clicking. Usually cleaning the burner will solve this. You may need to unscrew the nut holding the lower piece of the burner in place in order to clean it up.
Good luck!

When the large burner is on, it keeps trying to ignite

Check that the burner orifice nozzle (the round thing that comes off) is properly seated on the burner manifold. Mine have a tab that must interlock.

Make sure all your burner orifices are CLEAN. Scrub them with a plastic kitchen scrubber, soap and water.

The way this works is, when a burner is turned on, the sensing mechanism for the spark control reads the ionization of the flame. No flame, no ionization, keep sparking so gas buildup is minimal in the area before a flame is ignited. )Kinda like the spark thingy's underneath the shuttle, without the ionization sensor's, just before it launches.).

Old Thermador cooktop continues to spark even after turned off

sounds like you have a bad switch. maybe on the large burner.. some of those switches can be replaced without the whole harness.
