How can I get Netflix on my insignia tv with Cincinnati Bell fioptics

You would first need to access your network. If you have wifi then scan for your wifi network name and select it from the network setup menu. Then you will need to enter the network password. Once that is done you should get a message on the screen that you are connected. If your tv does not have the Netflix button on the remote then you will need to find it in the apps section of the menu. Once you have accessed Netflix follow the log in menu.

What is Silverlight? and does it cost extra. Remember I have no personal computer at home.

you sound a little confused, netflix is a streaming service which requires a internet connection most people use a wireless internet connection, a wired connection would work better, netflix can be used on pc or a roku box and even some tablets. silverlight is a browser plug in for a pc. netflix basically streams movies and tv shows using a internet connection.

You could try a recovery back to the month before installing Netflix. Yet I do not believe Netflix is your problem. Lower right hand corner of pic right click to show your Possible Internet connections available. You can also go into control panel, open up network connection. Make sure your PC is recognizing group you have created.

I have a internet stick on my Samson flat screen tv. added Hughes satalite for good speed. I added an extender also.

Can you run netflix on a computer without buffering? It might be your internet connection. Usually Netflix will lower the quality of the picture to avoid buffering and will increase in quality when the internet picks up. Netflix also uses different software depending wether it's computer (Microsoft silver light), a gaming console, or a smart tv in your case.

HOW DOES NETFLIX WORK AND WHAT EQUIPTMENT DO I NEED TO WATCH IT ON TV

I am assuming you are residing in the US. Providing that and that you have an internet connection, you're pretty much set up. Make sure your browser is up to date and will work with Microsoft Silverlight (most modern web browsers do). Sign up for the service or start your free trial. What else do you need to go with netflix? Popcorn maybe?

I bought model no. TC-L32C3 recently and want to be able to connect to the internet to stream netflix. I have a cable modem and a router setup in a different room. How can I do this?

Hello markkaufman,

Welcome, and thank you for using FixYa!

To answer your question: I do not see that this TV, of itself, has the connection for Network Cableing (Ethernet) for a networking medium. Nor do I read anything about a WiFi feature within the TV. Short of connecting this TV to another Surround Sound System/Wii/PS3/XBox 360; I do not see any Internet and Netflix streaming in this TV's future.
I have my 47" Samsung connected to our Wii and prefer the browser in that to any TV browser. The TV browsers tend to be perpriatary to the Manufactures ideas of what sites to include.
The Wii can use Opera browser and handle most sites like MSN, YouTube!, Hulu, etc.

Have a great evening!
