The idea of plug link adapters is that you plug one of the adapters into a standard electrical outlet near your broadband router, and connect it to the router with an included Ethernet cable. Next, you plug an identical adapter into an electrical outlet in another place in the home or office, and connect it to another computer with a second included cable. No software, no setup procedures, no drivers. How sweet. For all intents and purposes, it's a wired home network, except it has a couple of these small black devices in between. And the dog can't chew the wires.
The building's electrical lines do the rest — they carry the computers' high-frequency data on top of the low-frequency waves on the electrical transmission lines, and the two can cohabit quite happily without interference.
And you can buy individual powerline adapters as you need them, up to 16 of them before the speed begins to degrade.
What's more important is that this system works far better than a home wireless (WiFi) network, which often can't reach all the corners of the house or office — especially if there's a microwave oven working nearby — and is much slower.

Regards

No keep them !!! they could come in useful at a later date.
If you end up not using them, sell them, they could fetch up to $50 each.

I am trying to connect my Netgear N300 wireless router to my ATT Elevate 4g hotspot. I need to do this because I have a credit card machine that has to plug into a router/switch. So how do I get the router...

wow, that is a good question!
I've never tried this but in theory it would work like this:
1)go to your network adapters (different on diff versions of windows) either through control panels or network and sharing center.
2) single left click your 4g adapter, then hold control and single left click your lan connection so they are both highlighted
3) now right click one of them and say bridge connections (this tells your computer to share your 4g with your wired connection)
4)(ok this is where it gets kinda foggy for me) you should at this point be able to plug your CC machine into the LAN port on your computer.
you might need a cross over cable thoughif you want to get really fancy you could put a router on the LAN port i suppose. I'm not sure how you would connect the router (LAN or WAN port ect.)
I'm gonna try this tonight! Oh what FUN!

I have a D-Link DIR-825 router and a D-link WUA-2340 adapter. The adapter is plugged into a windows xp desktop. My problem is that the adapter is only running at 54mbps when the box clearly says...

The D-Link WUA-2340 is an 802.11g adapter. This means that 54mbps is the fastest that it can run. It is backward compatible with the 802.11b standard which runs at 11mbps. However, it is not forward compatible to 802.11n. You need to get the DWA series from D-Link (I'm guessing you have a preference for D-Link). This should run your D-Link DIR-825 at 100mbps +.

Cannot get 2wire router to connect to wet610n adapters. Directv (who sent me this) cannot help. I need to know what to do to fix this issue. Keep getting error messages from 102 to 109,

Make sure wet610n adapters have the same wireless settings with your 2 wire modem and the wireless link status of the bridge shows connected. That's how wet610n communicate with wireless routers/modem. If wireless settings do not match they will talk with each other wirelessly.

D-Link 615 stopped connecting with wireless

If your laptop is not detecting the wireless router, can you try to get the laptop closer to the router ? If you have done that already, I would suggest you to try and power cycle the router once. If that doesnt work either, try to reset the router. Hope this helps

Hi there please help me out here, i have got a new pc prob 4 mnths old now but it there isnt no wireless on it, can yu please tell me what i have to do as i have bougt laptops for my kids bout the router...

To my knowledge, this laptop does not have an in-build wireless card. You will need to purchase a wireless USB adaptor such as pixel-clr.gif Netgear WPN111 or a D-Link WUA-1340. You can go into any computer store and ask or a wireless USB adaptor. They're fairly inexpensive ($10 - $50).

Simply load the drivers onto the laptop and plug it in. Scan for your network and connect. The manual that accompanies the USB adaptor will give you all the details you need for this.

Did the link I send you not fix your problem?

I have to inform that the following model ACER ASPIRE 5720Z doesn't come with a Bluetooth adapter. It's an optional feature, despite the fact that comes with a switch button in it.
