Maytage Neptune - MAH8700AWW same problem as PMLAPL - Code E3 and machine won't finish cycle.

- Well I reset the washing machine per the instructions to clean the memory and now instead of reading E3 it's reading 3E, ?????? Yes, I did a double take to be sure of what I was seeing. According to my book there is no such things as 3E just E3. The machine also seems to make a light growling noise when trying to kick into the spin out mode.
“E3” code – Machine control is attempting to drive the motor but is not seeing any tach
response. Visual Check shows motor is not moving. (Locked or Hall Sensor fault.)
Possible causes of ‘E3’ codes:
1. Spin drum stuck – Verify that the spinner moves freely to eliminate this cause.
2. Hall Sensor fails or is loose – When the Hall Sensor fails or becomes dislodged, the control
doesn't recognize that the motor is spinning and shuts down. The result will likely be an “E3”
code in the worst case, or “SUdS” if it is only getting a partial rpm reading. Check wire
harness connector(s) to motor.
Hall Sensor – PCB that is located on the back of the motor that senses motor rpm. It is not a
separate part, but rather an integral part of the motor.

Trouble shooting document in washer control panel says ''End of cycle signal ON/OFF'' Machine control connector/wire = P5 (WH11) & P2 / 1 (PU21) 24VDc ON O Vdc OFF; Timer Contract = Not Involved. Does this mean the board is bad because the Timer is not involved?

The unit keeps filling until water leaks from the door. Unless we hit the stop button the machine seems to be willing to keep filling, even while it is in 'drain' mode.
